It's the second game from the developer who gave us "Zenzizenzic", and it's a rather different game indeed.
While the website only says "PC", the developer was kind enough to reply to my about it:
QuoteHi Liam,
Yes, apologies, it should have been clarified! Windows, OSX and Linux are our primary targets at the moment.
Best,
Ruud
Can't get clearer than that. I did request they update their website to reflect that too, so hopefully they will.
About the game
Sinner’s Sorrow is an atmospheric 2D action adventure game currently in development for PC. In Sinner’s Sorrow you are a sinner fighting for your redemption. Set in a dominantly black and white and ominous world, you take up arms against your inner demons. With sword and shield and a multitude of esoteric abilities you strike down those that stand between you and redemption, or fall into deeper darkness.
Sinner’s Sorrow combines the intensity of dynamic action combat with a heavy atmosphere and aspects of puzzle solving, light platforming and influences from the Metroidvania genre.

It was already on their website, but buried slightly on their FAQ:
It seems it's now been put on the top of the About page, so I think your suggestion worked :)

I'm actually glad that they're using 'PC' as "Operating systems for personal computers".
If you're not supporting at least the top 3 OSen, you should be more specific than "PC".

Great, dark art style, I'm very interested and waiting for some actual gameplay videos.

Wow someone used the term "PC" correctly, I'm impressed.

We have no shortage of metroidvanias. I wonder if this one will do anything to stand out from the crowd, besides get rid of color?

I'm taking bets: Salt and Sanctuary with less 'web comic' art style.

Liking what I see so far. Contacted them about DRM free and added it to the GOG wishlist. Looking forward to it.

Thank you all for the support!
And yes, we do definitely listen to feedback :D
The game is not yet on Steam, or Steam Greenlight. We are waiting for the right moment for that (probably at the same time as a crowdfunding campaign if that is the road we end up taking, and/or it will depend on a publisher).
Showing gameplay is our next target for now and we are working hard on a demo. We will be testing it mostly internally, but also externally in a limited fashion (subbing to the newsletter gets you a chance to get in on testing if you're interested). We definitely do want to hear your feedback on this, so that when we release a public demo (which is definitely what we want to do alongside a crowdfunding campaign, if again that is the route we end up taking) it will be solid and representable of the final product.
So yeah, you may have gleaned from that that we are quite flexible and open on how we approach this. We are just two guys working on this project, so that line of direct communication is something we can and want to uphold and we can take feedback and process it quickly. In my previous project Zenzizenzic I did that as well, and it definitely worked out for the better :)
Thanks again all!
