Thanks to the masses of people for letting me know. Undertale, the 2D RPG where you don't have to destroy anyone is now available for SteamOS and Linux.
I've purchased it personally and taken a quick look and I can confirm it works fine my end.
This is one seriously weird game. Terribly low resolution art, but something is compelling me to play more of it. I have literally no idea what is going on, I fell down some hole and some talking plant tricked me into a fight. Now I'm following some weird looking thing which keeps asking me questions...
I'm now talking to a rock, what is going on, how did it come to this?
About the game
Welcome to UNDERTALE. In this RPG, you control a human who falls underground into the world of monsters. Now you must find your way out... or stay trapped forever.
((Healthy Dog's Warning: Game contains imagery that may be harmful to players with photosensitive epilepsy or similar condition.))
The Features List is what makes me laugh, with things like this:
- Become friends with all of the bosses!
- At least 5 dogs.
- You can date a skeleton.
- Hmmm... now there are 6 dogs...?

Waiting for a DRM-free version.The Steam version is DRM-free but it probably won't be too long before the Linux version will land in GOG and Humble stores :)
This is in my top 5 for the last 20 years, great game.Yup, game of the year 2015 and probably one of the best purchases I did that year. Definitely recommending to anyone with at least a little sensitivity and humor.

The DRM-free version on humble store is only for windows for some reason, not mac, whereas the steam version is for mac too :x

I actually saw the sale announcement on Steam and thought: "Sigh. I'd like to take advantage of that, if only it was out for Linux." Then I opened up GOL, saw the article, and thought: "Holy $&^# really?? Buy!! BUY!!!"
Thanks GOL! You saved me from passing up the SteamOS/Linux launch sale! I honestly didn't expect the port to come this soon; I'm used to the loooong waits we have to put up with from "triple-A" studios. An indy studio puts the big studios to shame AGAIN!
What really irritates me is that Steam's own stupid design regarding filtering by OS would have made me miss the launch! The sale box on the right side of the Steam store's page is almost always highlighting a non-Linux compatible game on my Linux Steam client, so I automatically ignored the Undertale sale because I had no reason to believe it wasn't Win/Mac only! There are always a bunch of games on sale so there are always Linux compatible games on sale! Why can't they filter the sale highlight?
Don't answer that. I already know that Steam couldn't filter coffee with a desalination plant.
