Agenda is a rather cool sounding strategy game where you're trying to take over the world. It's due to release on the 21st of September with Linux support.

From the press release:
QuoteAgenda, a strategy simulation from Exordium Games where players control an evil organization seeking world domination, will come to Windows, Mac, and Linux on Sept. 21st, 2016.

Players will direct covert operations to increase their control over countries' economies, political parties, militaries, science institutions and media outlets. Operations will entail everything from low key kickbacks to military leaders to the brazen assassination of political rivals.

By earning influence in each country, players unlock powerful new abilities and gain access to five different agency super weapons. These supply benefits such as running multiple operations at once or reducing the shadowy enterprise's exposure.

In order to secretly control the world's governments, the organization must avoid exposure by successfully completing its undercover operations and exerting its influence over the media. Once exposed, the game is over. Exposure will rise gradually over time, but incidents like failed operations or rebellions can trigger spikes of unrest and awareness.

Agenda will be available on Steam for $9.99 in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese-Brazil, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Swedish, Danish, Dutch and Japanese.

Looks and sounds like it might be quite interesting, will you be picking it up?

It already has a Steam page up ready for release. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

The map is wrong, but what you're on about is an issue of projection.
The reason it's wrong is: Where is Greenland!?
dragev Aug 29, 2016
The projection makes the sizes of the countries wrong. If Greenland was on the map, it would be even more apparent.

Hey, at least they have New Zealand on there and yes, it's apparently very common to leave out NZ from world maps ...

Or you can be a sane person and buy a globe to see the shape of the world, and a map to see who is next to who.

:O

Yeah but the extent of the distortion on Gall-Peters' cylindrically projected map is visibly ugly(top and bottom). Mercator's projection maintains compass bearing along it's vertical lines, making it more useful and the preferred world map. Yes, that makes countries along the equator smaller, but that video is a joke. Racism reaaally? It would be xenophobia if anything lol. But really its not, its just a more practical map.

Wasn't aware that navigation was important in this game. My bad. The video is just one of many explaining the issue, I just picked the one at the top. There are probably prettier alternatives in between the Gall-Peters and Mercator maps that maintain area sizes better that could be used if this game wasn't so heavily dependent on navigation.

I like the Robinson one. Seems like a good compromise.

So is this going to be a darker version of Democracy 3?
