There's a rather large bit of info here on SteamDB, where you can see stuff like this:
Quotelaunch/9/config/oslist: linux
launch/9/executable: DeusExMD.sh
launch/9/type: none
And this:
Quote337001/encryptedmanifests/domesticated_mac_linux_sync/encrypted_gid_2: 973A3491BA8BBFE16CAF17F204300E1B
Obviously no word on a release date and this is not confirmed anywhere. It's good supporting evidence though.
Reminder: We have seen Linux pop up on SteamDB before and a port never happened. Just something to keep in mind.
Exciting either way though, as the game is being very well reviewed all around from what I can see. I actually played and finished the one directly before this and loved it. You can bet I will play the crap out of it if/when it's released for us.
About the game
The year is 2029, and mechanically augmented humans have now been deemed outcasts, living a life of complete and total segregation from the rest of society.
Now an experienced covert operative, Adam Jensen is forced to operate in a world that has grown to despise his kind. Armed with a new arsenal of state-of-the-art weapons and augmentations, he must choose the right approach, along with who to trust, in order to unravel a vast worldwide conspiracy.
Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
Hm, in that case I might have to stop watching those let's play videos of the privileged pre release gamers.

So it might just be logical to get a Linux port from Feral. That would be awesome!!!
Depth Charge?
Not pretending this to be a confirmation, it's just that it would make sense to see a Feral Port.

Hmm, interesting..
Recently the "Rocket league" port seems to have moved forward a bit (gone into QA?)
Mad Max linux depots updated..
Oh, and WORMS W.M.D day one..
And now this?
Something is amiss here. This cannot be happening.

Can you recall what other titles they've done the same with, using this "requestinator" of theirs? It's not that I doubt you - I imagine I've seen it too, but can't recall any actual titles.

I understand... Now a question I have no clue what is the answer: What is the ratio of done ports when Feral launch the "requestinator campaign" or equivalent?

Quoting: BeamboomI don't have any to hand and don't fancy trawling months of Facebook, as if I did I can tell you now I would have a lot more posts here on GOL for Feral, but I don't consider Feral telling people they are taking port request feedback as news. Of course they are.Quoting: liamdaweOh I know what you're saying and I understand it. We may just be overhyped. :)
This said, you know on what engine Deus Ex is based? Same as Tomb Raider? Vulkan title?
Edit: Got my answer. Glacier Engine II, same as Hitman... Hitman is coming to Linux, by Feral, am I wrong? ;)

Let's hope they port it!
I prefer this one because the others runs on Wine (so no dual-boot needed while we wait them to port 'em all)

If I remember correctly it's actually a custom engine they developed for this and future Deus Ex games.
edit: It's called the Dawn engine

You are right, it's the Dawn engine which is based on Glacier II. :)

I liked the previous Deus Ex: HR a lot, and decided not to buy this because it's a Windows only game (I planned to wait for a big sale), this announce changes everything. I'm really considering to buy it full price when released for Linux.

I really hope they'll port Human Revolution as well, I played it about halfway through under wine a few years ago but never finished it due to lackluster performance with wine.
It would be great to be able to finish it natively and then play this new Deus Ex game.
As far as I remember, HR was awesome.
