Dota 2 is about to get two new heroes, one of which will be the first entirely new hero for the game that is not ported over from the original DotA.

The first one is Underlord which was announced at The International, but the more interesting one is the just announced Monkey King which is the first original hero for the game and he came with a video teaser:

I haven't played Dota 2 personally in quite some time, but I do have over 500 hours in the game, so it's only inevitable that I play again sometime. I wonder if we could get a big game going from members of the community to play against each other.

Be honest, how many hours do you have in Dota 2 now? Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Actually, the Monkey King was in the original DOTA, just not as a playable character. AFAIK Icefrog planned to add him to DOTA in the future, well, now he will do that with DOTA2 :)

"Be honest, how many hours do you have in Dota 2 now?"
2747 hours
"I wonder if we could get a big game going from members of the community to play against each other."
Hype

I have my own team with my friends. If you play with friends, you do not need to spend all day in the game, 3 hours daily playing intelligently is enough to play better and better. Also watch replays and tournaments helps a lot.

Today is the end of The International 6!!!
Lower Bracket Finals (Best of 3) Evil Geniuses VS. Digital Chaos
Grand Finals (Best of 5) Wings Gaming VS. ?

Didn't play Dota 2 much, but had a lot of hours in Heroes of Newerth, which I considered a slightly better game. Stopped playing MOBAs altogether few years ago, it increased my quality of life significantly.

Underlord was my favorite back in the old Dota. Really excited to have him back ^_^
