I just got Shadow of Mordor recently and ran into the issue of bodies not showing up in gameplay (much like in the picture). After looking this up I realised I wasn't the only one having this issue. The fix that worked for me was pretty easy. All you have to do is...

1. Right click on the game in Steam and click properties.
2. Under the general tab click "Set Launch Options".
3. A text box will appear and copy and paste "__GL_ShaderPortabilityWarnings=0 %command%" into it (without the quotations).
4. Run the game and things should work fine.

If you're having the same trouble with AMD and not Nvidia then there is also something on that same page about what to do. It follows the same idea so it isn't hard. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I found that particular bug to be appropriate with the storyline, so I saw it more as a feature than a bug.

Funny I got the game last month and I found the fix precisely here, but in the comment section xD

Maybe it would be a good idea to set up a Q&A section in here like stackoverflow xD

Awesome! I have this bug on AMD (been playing on Windows ), will try it as soon as I can.

I have a GTX960 and, for my part, with driver 361.45.19 (I hope I got it right), there is no problem. The performances are on par with driver 367.xx.

Unless you have a GTX10x0 you might not need to use the latest driver.

I can confirm that Feral's current beta fixes the bug. No idea if it fixes anything else. Personally I found the hack in the comments of this previous GOL article.

It's not likely to help you, the command is probably an environment variable directly affect nvidia's blobs rather than Feral's code. Quick google shows that to be the case.

Which drivers are you using under GNU/Linux?

It appears that the OP in the linked discussion is using AMD, so that's the fix I'm going to try. I'm using the open source drivers.

Aaww and I thout I was special for once in my life :(.
Now everyone is in the beta :(.

I seem to get a little worse performence, but I dont mind it, its still very playble and it fixes the bug I hade with shadow of mordor. Its a windows game ported to linux after all, if I only want performance I could just go with Windows.
But I wont.
