Hot on the heels of their patch for Company of Heroes 2, Feral has now patched Life is Strange. Nvidia Pascal users will be most pleased about this one.
This is a polishing patch aimed at a few urgent issues and is most welcome. This is why I love Feral, they prove time and time again they are focused on feedback and getting their games up to scratch for us.

Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
Quoting: cxphergmailcomI still get the black screen on launch issue but now it allows me to alt tab in and out and it works.
Previously I had to use a button to bind shortcut to desktop in GNOME and fullscreen it again after that. Alt tab didn't work.
Please do report this to Feral with details of your distro and window manager etc and we can have a look. Sounds like you're (yet another) window manager edge case we'll have to have a look at :)

Quoting: GuestI hope it still works with my bépo keyboard :D.
Oh BTW thanks for the news; I got the update but couldn’t find the changelog on Steam.
Well it's there in the support section of the community forums were it always is. :-)
I think this article has a link to it as well.

Quoting: GuestMakes me think it's the different display managers that are the culprit but then again the Linux gamer said he had this issue on Ubuntu.....so who knows.
We haven't had any reports of people having this on Ubuntu, all instances we found were due to window managers doing strange things in certain situations. If anyone reading still has this issue with black screens please do let us know mentioning your disto and window manager. Ideally just send us the support report from the pre game launcher as this file will generate information about your setup so we can look at mimicking it at Feral HQ to we can reproduce the issue (and fix it).

Game was running perfectly for me before on AMD Radeon 7770M using mesa 12. I could run it on all settings max easily. Hope it doesn't now give you a warning like so many other feral ports (even though they often work just fine)

QuoteFIXED - High CPU Usage on single thread due to issue in curl libraryAnd with that, the issues I had are gone; the game looks to be quite playable on my 10 years old CPU.
I hate to do it, but I told you so.
I also wrote them a support mail with a few more details I found out about the issue. Would have been nice if I had gotten a reply to that mail, instead of having to ping edddeduck on IRC two weeks later and then only getting a "yes, we have an internal fix for this" out of them.
Yes, sure, I know, that's Jammern auf hohem Niveau, sue me. :P

Stuttering solved for me with this update (Pentium G3258 @ 4GHz, 16GB RAM, GTX560). Grand job.

After the update when I start the game I get a popup that says "Unsupported graphic Card or driver" but if I put Continue I can play normally.
My graphic Card is: NVIDIA GM204 GeForce GTX 970/PCIe/SSE2 Version: 4.5.0 NVIDIA 364.19

I have the same card and I don't have a problem... Your drivers are a bit outdated...
Which distro are You using?
