Long Gone Days is a bit of a mixed barrel when it comes to genres, but my does it look interesting to play.

It has a Windows demo, and I have quizzed the developer on when that will be available for Linux. Keep an eye out here for a reply. Sadly, it may not get a demo for Linux, going by their itch.io page:
QuoteQ: Will you do a Linux port of the demo?

A: I have yet to look into it, but the full game will be on Linux.

That, sadly, doesn't fill me with confidence in their Linux version. I hope we manage to get a better answer on it.

Update: About the demo:
QuoteThere unfortunately won't be a Linux version of the current demo but in the future there will be a updated demo which should feature support for Linux. Sorry!

From the forum post.

The game was funded on Indiegogo and managed to raise $20,087.

About the game
Long Gone Days is a 2D modern-day character-driven military RPG that combines elements from visual novels and dystopian fiction, set in our own world during the present time.

Story
The game tells the story from the point of view of Rourke, a soldier from the Core, a highly isolated place below the surface of the Earth. After finding out the truth about the operation he's part of in Kaliningrad, he decides to abandon his post, not really knowing the overall consequences of deserting from an inescapable war.

During this journey he'll collaborate with several people from different parts of the world who will help him with language barriers, strategies and overall teamwork.

What do you think? Will you be picking it up? Looks like the release isn't until 2018 so we have a long wait. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

If they don't release a Linux demo then it doesn't mean I won't buy it but I buy games with demos before those without. It would be at the bottom of my wishlist even with a Linux version if it has no Linux demo. Overall it does interest me from what I have seen so far so hopefully they come out with a Linux demo and I enjoy it.
