The developers have continued their regular updates for a while now and this latest alpha sounds pretty awesome.
What I am looking forward to most of all is the single-player campaign they have planned for it.
It heavily reminds me of Theme Park and that's fantastic to have something modern like this on Linux.
There's lots of things to already love about this game, from being able to see people on the rides from start to finish, to nifty things like paths turning automatically into steps when placed on a hill.
I haven't quite got the hang of the building section for the longer customizable rides, as it's not the most intuitive interface for it. I am sure they will work on that as time goes on, as I actually found it a little confusing.
The attention to detail so early on is quite amazing.
Changes in alpha 4
significant performance improvements
added Spinning Coaster
added 4D Cinema
added palm trees
added customizable colors for some shop products
added area delete tool
added controls instructions (beginning of a tutorial system)
added monitor selection
added camera scroll/zoom sensitivity settings
added autosave + save hotkey (Z by default)
added more rebindable keys
added detection of performance problems due to mods
added lateral and longitudinal G visualizations + graphs
- plus other improvements and bug fixes

Looks cool. I'll consider buying it when it's finished.

Never played Theme Park, but Parkitect heavily reminds me of RollerCoaster Tycoon.
Even still in alpha, this game is pretty darn awesome and totally worth the money! Can't wait for them to add campaigns etc.
