It has been a little while since I asked, so let's see what you're up to. What have you been playing recently and how is it?

I tried a good bit of Starbound when it released and wow it has changed a lot. It's really quite impressive what they have built. The exploration, the awesome loot and it's just a pleasing experience.

The other main one is Stardew Valley, it utterly demolishes time in the blink of an eye and my farm is slowly coming along!

I also thoroughly enjoyed Near Death which I did on the last livestream. My failure at surviving in the cold was pretty obvious and I haven't managed to find the elusive penguin yet!

Personally, I just want to find the time to finish up Life is Strange, I still haven't managed to get some proper time to sit down and finish the last bit on it. Excited to see how it ends!

With so many games to choose from now, it does get almost frustrating at times choosing between them to play in my limited leisure time. Do you find that now too? Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Starbound hit me right in the face, I was playing the heck out of it since the 1.0. :)
Apart from that, I was playing my PS4 a lot with Bloodborne, Rocket League and now No Man's Sky.
And now that I won Stardew Valley, I've started that.

I was playing Alien: Isolation and Shadow of Mordor, but then my wife discovered Stardew Valley. No other game has been touched since. Not that I'm complaining. The game's an absolute treat.

I've been playing Far Cry 3 on Windows for the past few weeks after completing Tomb Raider and the Portal series on Linux, and the next game on my list to play is SpecOps: The Line.

Half-Life 2: Episode Two; a great expansion from Valve, as expected. Way better than Episode One. It looks like the game uses a newer version of Source Engine comparing to base game and EP1; has some visual improvements which tanks the framerate in open areas. After this, I will dig some HL2 single player mods as I usually do with most of mod friendly games. Transmissions: Element 120 and Minerva: Metastasis are already in my list. Can someone suggest couple more fine HL2 single player mods please? Thanks.

Two weeks ago I was playing Darkest Dungeon and loving every minute of it. Normally I don't care for high difficulty games but after beating Sunless Sea without saving or cheating I thought I'd give it a shot. Apparently I like hard games as long as the writing is strong enough.

But for the past two weeks I've been playing this game called Real Life: Work and Parenting Edition. It's really hard and pretty boring but the graphics are awesome!

Unfortunately, since I've been in a AAA gaming mood lately, DooM and Fallout 4 on Windows 10 - and the magic of DSR on a 1080p monitor (2715x1527 virtual resolution down-sampled to 1920x1080 hardware pixels).

But make no mistake, I'm not happy about having to go to Windows to enjoy this kind of stuff! And I refuse to ever use the Win10 desktop for anything but game installation or maintenance. And any time I'm web surfing (like now) or in the mood for other games besides AAA windows-only games, I'm in Linux.

It's kind of a pain having two mice and keyboards around for switching PCs from a AAA windows-only game to everything else, but it's far easier to deal with than loading up the bloated and virus/malware risky Win 10 DE itself! :-)

The Linux purist could say: bad on me for supporting Windows only titles at all. And I would say true, bad on me. But the realist in me acknowledges now that Steam Machines have failed, and me getting older (49).... It may *well be past my lifetime* before Linux gaming gets to the level of truly hard-core developer and video card maker support it currently has on Windows.

But I can still dream it will! The Win10 DE is so crappy compared to KDE and G3 :-)

Very true. And then Valve went back to the herculean task of shoveling mountains of money into the bank from their F2P/B2P MMOs, and forgot about a HL2:Ep2 sequel. I wish the Russian/Asian kids weren't so into whatever-the-f*** the name is of those Valve MMO chart toppers it is on Steamcharts :-P

I'm playing Daikatana. It's alright. :P

Not that I have touched it for a few weeks. I blame the bees.
