Update: The game was announced.

Just a quick one—Feral Interactive are at it again folks, it's been a while since we had a teaser. Looks like tomorrow we will get a new game announcement from Feral.

So maybe we'll announce a massive game for Mac and Linux tomorrow. Should we? Could be fun.

What could it be? I have no idea. Throw your thoughts in the comments!

Could they be announcing something brand new? Could they be formally announcing the game attached to one of their radar entries? So many thoughts, so much hype! Choo-choo!

Hopefully Mad Max. I'm guessing that DX:MD will come out a bit later with Vulkan support. Either of these two games would be pretty awesome though :)

I doubt that any game supporting Vulkan will come out any time soon, since drivers of the Ubuntu LTS are not up for it (NVidia 304.131)

Feral's had drivers newer than what's been available out-of-the-box on Ubuntu as a minimum requirement before. My bet is on Mad Max powered by plain "old" OpenGL 4 though.

https://steamdb.info/sub/74693/depots/

Rise of the Tomb Raider does have Linux depots and they were updated a few months back.

Someone seems to be working on it but quietly.

In fact, if you look at the changelist of the main depot, the Linux depots were explicitly added at one go a few months back, way after the Windows version was released. If i didn't plan to do something about that, i would either never add those or have added them by mistake right from the start.

It's not LEGO. :/

Its probably a Deus Ex game, but I would love love love if it was the new DOOM. :D
Beamboom Sep 14, 2016
It HAS to be Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. It's not officially confirmed yet, and it's probably very close to release now.

Not that I mind one bit, this is one of my most anticipated games this year, but it would be real cool if it's not DE:MD. Cause what can it be then?

Depth Charge is on coming very soon in the Feral Radar, seems to fit Bioshock. Bioshock Remastered (2&3) "are" releasing tomorrow, which is when Feral is making a big announcement. No one else thinks this is likely?

Bioshock 2 already has a MAC so they pretty much have to be making a MAC version (I mean I guess they could just leave MAC without the remaster, but...)

What about Hitman.

The 367 drivers (stable Vulkan support) will make their way into the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and Ubuntu 16.10 repos soon and will replace 361 according to this xenial-proposed entry on Launchpad.

I'm also guessing they will be available to install either before or when Ubuntu 16.04.2 gets released as an ISO at the end of this year or in February 2017.

It's also a "massive game" 32GB

A completely different take is that they are playing on words here. And its a game from Massive Entertainment. So it could be Tom Clancys The Divison, Fra Cry 3 or Assasins Creed: Revelations.

This, Feral generally recommend much newer drivers, in fact i don't think they even support the older drivers.

It could be anything.

Oooh - that is clever speculation right there, mr Uraeus. He's damn cunny, that guy who writes those public statements. It could very well be.

If so... ANY of those three titles would be orgasmic to get over to us. Even The Division, although I hear it's pretty much abandoned by now.
UltraAltesBrot Sep 14, 2016
There is still the "Depth charge" hint on their radar in the "very soon" section

I don't think they need to worry about Ubuntu LTS to use Vulkan. It's possible even with Debian stable + backports, and SteamOS for example if you need something that stable.

DOOM

I had read on Phoronix the game started with T.
