Great cast guys!

I feel any developer who chooses to ignore Linux for financial reasons should be forgiven. Where the culture needs to change is in the big developers, and sadly the game software engineers don't make those decisions - those decisions come from the top.
Further I don't see a problem with using a wrapper - even for bigger games - if it makes the transition easier for developers its a stop-gap that works and should be embraced by the wider community. Anything that helps convince the accountants to go for it!

Over time things will change and such a passionate community will ensure everyone slowly erodes all the misconceptions.

Download the file and listen? Shouldn't be hard to do.

It's also better to make a video interview.

Great cast guys!
Glad you enjoyed it!

It's also better to make a video interview.
We've talked about this a few times in the past - I'm not certain whether it'll happen or not.

There are a bunch of really valid reasons to not pursue this for as frequent a show as this, with the biggest one being that there's a lot more overhead with regards to editing and producing video content than there is with audio content.

It's also better to make a video interview.

The simple answer we came to is we are going to keep it audio only. As cheese said, an edited video podcast just adds to much overhead. However, should there be interest from listeners to watch a live stream of the show when we do recording that is a possibility. But there will be no edited video podcast.

Are there plans to improve the sound quality?

Are there plans to improve the sound quality?
Most of the problem areas seem to be caused by Google Hangouts' automatic volume adjustment. We've discussed possible alternative recording infrastructure, but I'm not certain where we stand at the moment with regards to that.

I would suggest Mumble.

My voice quality is certainly Google's fault. I have a pro quality lapel mic! AGH. The move to mumble should help.

Mumble's definitely on the table :)
darkone778 Sep 19, 2016
The move to mumble is definitely in the cards to happen soon. We are working it out. Google hangouts is being used a temporary solution. Until the Mumble details are sorted out.

Is there any way to put your podcasts into Podbean, iTunes, or some other service? I like to use a podcast app on my phone to listen on the go and tried to put your RSS link into the app and they pulled up every article. If not, I understand and thank you.
