The footie-with-rocket-cars chaos of Rocket League will see an aquatic-themed update in October. A preview of the brand new arena and a pair of cars that are evocative of the deep blue sea are shown off in a spiffy new trailer:
Rocket League was one of the most eagerly-awaited Linux ports and, since its release earlier this month, I’ve already spent a fair couple of hours playing. I’m not the only one – Liam loves it – and going by the comments on the site and IRC, plenty of others are also having a blast with the game.
This update marks the first time since last year that a new normal arena will be added to the game. As with previous content updates, the new arena will be free but the cars will be priced at USD $1.99 or your regional equivalent each. Details on what other changes may come with the update haven’t been shared yet, but I suspect there will be more to look forward to soon.
Be sure to check out GOL’s interview with Timothee Besset if you want to learn more about about Rocket League’s porting process.
What about you guys? Have you been having fun with Rocket League?

I'm currently experiencing a bug where the game crashes after every match or two. I hope it's addressed soon.

This new map looks amazing. And so fast after the last update it's very surprising.

This looks amazing! Now I want even more cool arenas like that! The cars are cool too, but that arena is breathtaking.
I'm running on integrated Intel graphics BTW (for now). Do Nvidia / AMD guys have the same issues?

Quoting: Mountain ManI'm currently experiencing a bug where the game crashes after every match or two. I hope it's addressed soon.Me too. After a few matches (3-4) my game crashes. It's also pretty slow in menus including the intro logos. The gameplay itself runs smoothly, except for the first few seconds of the first match but that's not much of an issue. Those issues are no deal breakers but more like annoyances. I can put up with them but I hope they get fixed soon. The crash issue is kinda spoiling it a little. I think I'd be playing this game more often if it wasn't for that.

Oh and the name doesn't mean anything but coincidentally could be pronounced as "Buttery" which suits me just fine.
