I spoke to the developer of We Happy Few on twitter to get an update on the Linux version, it seems it has been pushed back.
Originally they said that the Linux version would be available during Early Access, but now it will be later:
@gamingonlinux Shortly acter the final release of the game :)

A real shame that it's coming out later than previously stated, but still great that it's coming. Looking forward to it, as it looks bonkers.
About the game
We Happy Few is the tale of a plucky bunch of moderately terrible people trying to escape from a lifetime of cheerful denial in the city of Wellington Wells. Set in a drug-fuelled, retrofuturistic city in an alternative 1960s England, you’ll have to blend in with its other inhabitants, who don’t take kindly to people who don’t abide by their not-so-normal rules.

Doesn't seem to work that well, though.

This looks great though - it's got a nice Bioshock Infinite vibe. I'll be scooping this up on release.
Quoting: MyeulCI don't really know where to discuss this, I just noticed that you could choose o display only Linux games in the Steam store here:

nope it doesn't and it's pretty annoying.
Quoting: scaineAll supported platforms should progress at the same rate, really, or we're risking the usual lag after release before the Linux version comes out.True, but game developers have slightly different priorities than gamers. Or open source projects. It's quicker to test and debug on one platform than all of them, and usually there's a valid reason (money) to get the finished product out of the door as quickly as possible. Even if development was done on all platforms simultaneously, it makes sense for a small team to initially concentrate their efforts and limited resources towards whichever platform is most profitable. I do get your point though.
I know the attitude against this seems to be, you need to support linux from the start.
Im just happy If it runs on linux, nativly, in wine or something like it, has a good performece and
are counted as a linux purches when I get it.
And let windows beta test it. I can wait for the finished product.
Quoting: TheGZeusAnother procedurally generated survival crafting game. That really is disappointing. I somehow expected a story-focused action adventure with an original style and premise.
