As usual for GOG [Link], slow and steady! Bastion is now available on GOG and the game itself has been updated to use Ethan Lee's FNA [Link].

Bastion has been available on Linux for years now, but GOG do seem quite slow at adding Linux versions of their games. It's pleasing to finally see it happen for Bastion, as now Linux gamers who missed out before that prefer fully DRM free can hop on over to GOG for it.

About the game
Bastion is an action role-playing experience that redefines storytelling in games, with a reactive narrator who marks your every move. Explore more than 40 lush hand-painted environments as you discover the secrets of the Calamity, a surreal catastrophe that shattered the world to pieces. Wield a huge arsenal of upgradeable weapons and battle savage beasts adapted to their new habitat. Finish the main story to unlock the New Game Plus mode and continue your journey!

Do xbox 360 feedback works on this version?
On the steam/humble bundle version the controller works fine but there is not feedback.

That took quite a while, but good to see it on GOG at last.

Is GOG slow at adding Linux games or are publishers and developers slow at giving it to them ? A lot of Linux games GOG lacks I find Humble Store, Itch.io and IndieGameStand also lacks. GOG couldn't affect other stores.

How well does FNA perform compared to MonoGame?

Yeah, what is the difference between Steam and GOG versions on GNU/Linux?

From what I understand. Steam version use monogame and gog use fna.

Developer of fna in simple way explain what differences between both:

Maybe if Gog Galaxy was a complete thing on Linux I would have spent my cash there instead of Steam?

I refuse to use any distribution service until a central client does all the dirty hard work for me.

Well, "FNA is XNA4, MonoGame is XNA5" is not a simple way :)

His answer is basically: build your project with both and see the difference yourself, then you'll understand the difference.

Let's take Bastion as an example: does the switch to FNA reduce hardware requirements or increase performance (not much of an issue, as Bastion is not really taxing the hardwre)? Does it increase stability perhaps? Or perhaps MonoGame has some dependencies which were unacceptable for GOG?

Basically, should I, as a player, care about the fact that Bastion on GOG uses FNA?

All platforms have been updated to use FNA, it is not just the GOG version.

Well, Steam Community page of the game has no such announcement. Actually, only announcement is the release of Transistor... I checked the SteamDB page of the game; only related entry is the removal of "VMC Linux Test Pass" 17 days ago. I am not good at tracking sort of things, that's all I can say...
