Seriously, what the heck Feral Interactive! First Dawn of War II, then Mad Max and very quickly after Deus Ex: Mankind Divided!
That's right, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is launching on SteamOS & Linux on the 3rd of November!

Feral are doing an insane amount of porting recently for us, this has truly made 2016 our best ever year.
As usual, I will do a livestream on the day of release, be sure to follow us on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/gamingonlinux
I am also hoping to get access to the game, so that I can do my usual report on how it runs.
About the game
The year is 2029, and mechanically augmented humans have now been deemed outcasts, living a life of complete and total segregation from the rest of society.
Now an experienced covert operative, Adam Jensen is forced to operate in a world that has grown to despise his kind. Armed with a new arsenal of state-of-the-art weapons and augmentations, he must choose the right approach, along with who to trust, in order to unravel a vast worldwide conspiracy.

Quoting: GuestQuoting: XelancerAs for the SSD topic; remember games don't run in isolation, depending on how much memory you have, there is always disk caching going on, other services / TSRs are swapping data they don't need to reduce memory load, etc. Never mind the fact that SSD are between 4 to 10 times faster - and that's in a perfect world so it excludes seek time - where the HDD is perfectly un-fragmented.You are talking about swap being used during gameplay… That’s guarranted to ruin you game experience, even when the swap in on an SSD (I had that happen when playing ARK).
In reality SSDs are useless for most games because they are already loading instantly from an HDD. And when they are slow to load it’s often because they are compiling shaders.
"loading instantly from an HDD", .... Hmmmmm. Copied any large files from one HDD to another recently? It's not very instant.... way faster on a SSD.
The point of SSD is not to make any difference in frame rates or active gameplay, it is all about loading times. Some games might not see any difference and other can make a huge difference. There are also other hardware factors like the GPU that can reduce the benefit of an SSD.

For a game with 60 GB of data to load, it is quite possible there would be a substantial reduction in loading screen times.

Quoting: zebJust finished to watch the stream. The game looks great and performs well. They have confirmed it uses OpenGL, but one of the most exciting announcements was that they would look at Vulkan implementation first half of next year!
I think Feral shows there is nothing wrong with OpenGL, the main issues are those of implementation. Of course Vulkan is newer and better, but OpenGL does work just fine. Vulkan being closer to DX12 than OpenGL to any DX should reduce some stumbling for developers interested in porting.
