Earthlock: Festival of Magic [Steam, Official Site] is a rather great looking adventure RPG inspired by some older JRPGs, the developers recently opened an invite-only Linux test, but they have decided to open it up to everyone.

Really great to see them do this!

You can now use the password "ILoveLinuxGaming" to unlock the Linux test build on Steam. Opt into the "dev-linux" branch and away you go. See more info here.

About the game
- Explore the vast and magical world of Umbra
- Highly strategic turn‐based battles
- Harvest magical materials and craft items on your home island
- Talent Table: combining a classic 'skilltree' and equipment to customise your character's progression
- 30+ Hours of gameplay

Desert scavenger Amon soon finds himself in his life's adventure when he crosses paths with a most peculiar creature back home in Zaber. Join Amon and other remarkable heroes in this turn-based fantasy RPG, on an unforgettable journey across the world of Umbra; a mysterious, beautiful but harsh planet that stopped spinning thousands of cycles ago. Out of curiosity, would this be considered a Linux sale? Whenever you opt into one of these betas (for example Arma 3) do they count as Windows or Linux sales?

Hmm, they didn't announce this on the Kickstarter updates. Thanks for the heads up.
EDIT:
Well it launches for me on a R9 380 using Mesa-git on Arch 64bit. Haven't really tested it beyond starting a game and walking out of the the first room, so keep that in mind.

If it's half as good as it looks, I will love it.

Still not sure how to access the Alpha. Do I need to purchase the game before being able to try? I see the password above. Just don't know where to apply it.
