It was fun playing with you guys. Though I didn't know the game mechanics, I will learn now.
PS: @liamdawe Why don't we use a mumble server, I can't get my external mic to work on Linux.

Grrrrr what kind of a useless port! I was so happy when I saw them porting one of the games I loved to play! Still, there're now 400 people online but NO Linux/Mac Gamer. Why would you split the community like that? I really don't get why it isn't part of the contract of porting to have a working cross-platform-game.
So, finally: NO MORE MONEY for NON-cross-platform games from my side. >.<
Btw, do you know who hired Feral for the port? I feel like reporting back to them to make Feral port the game. I'm really upset like that. It feels still like being 2nd class gamer, if the guys treat you like that. I know, there're syncing obstacles but come on: It's a devs job to get around them!

So basically you're now screaming at Feral because you didn't read anything and assumed it is their fault. While it was explained more than once that the stupid original multiplayer code is the sole problem and can't be fixed unless the Windows game is rewritten.

Dear Ehvis,
I did read that in advance. As well as I did for COH2. I did own the game already so I didn't bought it. I might have bought some copies to gift them to my friends if only they could play together with me.
I do know there might be obstacles, thank you for letting me know again. I'd also like to mention that I'm a dev myself so I got an idea of what they're facing (even though they do not spoiler the languages and implementations in use). What I want to say is either...
A. Fix the linux/mac code accordingly. I guess there has to be a way to deal with the syncing.
B. Patch the Windows version. What's the deal with that? I don't think the whole game needs a rewrite for this.
So what's the point of porting a dead multiplayer game with no one playing it?

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTDear Ehvis,Though I like Feral Interactive very much as they have ported some of my favorite games but with COH2 and Warhammer 40K, I wasn't much happy.
So what's the point of porting a dead multiplayer game with no one playing it?
Yes I can play with one or two friends on Linux but many who just use Windows are unable to join me or invite me.
I am happy I can play the campaign but the multiplayer is still a sore point. I wish they had dedicated more resources and people to fixing the multiplayer problem and patching the Windows version as well.
