This is awesome to see, people in the community have sent both Feral Interactive & Aspyr Media some little care packages full of treats.

Since Aspyr Media have yet to bring us the new Civilization game, it looks like Linux users have been guilt-tripping the porters into speeding up, or just sending them into a sugar coma.

So... this came in the mail this morning. Thank you, you lovely Linux people you. The guilt trip has been accepted. ;D #NomNomNom pic.twitter.com/c4VaOOIXWJ

The Aspyr Linux Team would like to offer their thanks. As would the majority of the company. We love us some @tiffstreats ! pic.twitter.com/f7fQsyumkb

Who can forget Feral Interactive? The porting team that has been pushing out port after port!

Thanks @beefsack, we just received your tasty cupcakes! Here's a 'before' pic of our devs tucking in... we'll spare you the messy aftermath. pic.twitter.com/6jtlrSgTD9

Good stuff community people, more of this please!

You would be surprised how much sending your thanks actually helps, people are too quick to send hate to developers who take extra time to get things done. Developers are human too remember.

Thank you beefsack for making us all look better :)

With how many ports Feral has been cranking out lately we may start to question this :)
neowiz73 Oct 27, 2016
uh oh, that's a good idea :) sweeten them up so we can get that CivVI port sooner rather than later :P
but I really appreciate what Feral and Aspyr have done for Linux Gaming. this honestly wouldn't have been so exciting without them.
But the Linux devs working on the Unity engine like Na'Tasha Bard, along with the devs from the cryengine working on Star Citizen. To the devs like Yaakuro doing work on the UE4. To all the various indie devs that continually give Linux some love with so many interesting games.
This has made the leap from dual booting windows and Linux to being a 100% pure Linux user a fun and interesting time.

How often I (have to) say this, Developers are human too... Of course, they are working for companies which have to make money and which may make decision we don't like and/or don't understand. But they still are people, who hate to be flamed - and love cookies. Thanks to the cookie donors!

Better to thank the awesome porters for giving us great games :D

Like said before also the teams working on the major gaming-engines in favor of linux have to be thanked.

I started some time after steamos was avaiable first and I know a lot of ppl are dissapointed of the little effort valve takes for this whole thing.
But am I wrong to say all this positive developement across the gaming-scene of linux started with steamos? Really dont know. Just started to use this awesome OS since then. 100%

Edit: not 100%. Stupid software for tax returns is my last reason for dual boot once a year

The feral guy on the left seems very focussed to be the first to grab as many cookies as he can :D.

Nice treat from beefsack ;-).

Without Valve's involvement, I would still run this other OS for gaming.

This needed to be done :D And what Feral and Aspyr are doing also needs to be done, we would need a few more companies like them and we would probably have all the AAA titles :D Big cheers to Feral Interactive, Aspyr Media, Valve! You guys make this whole thing possible to have a free open-source OS and still play great games like we would on "you know what"! :D

Appreciate their efforts by buying the games - in a way that actually earns them the deserved money.

(The beefsack move is still a fantastic idea.)

We were so chuffed to be sent the cupcakes. Such a cool gesture. And they arrived just in time for elevenses! (Yes, we are very British.)

I thought only Hobbits had elevenses ;-)

(I don't even know who this is)

He looks like a young Simon Pegg...

And here I always thought that elevenses was just a Hobbit thing.

Isnt that Loki aka Tom Hiddleston?

:'( What about Virtual Programming, they need love too. They brought us:

* Saints Row (all of them)
* Bioshock Infinite
* Spec Ops: The Line

Too bad they aren't as active in the community, wish they were. That would be the missing piece of the triumvirate.
