Rocket League [Steam], the highly addictive masterpiece that's currently in Beta on Linux has been updated with a brand new arena named 'AquaDome'.

See the full patch notes here.

Also, if you've been living under a rock be sure to check out the interview I did with Timothee Besset who helped port Rocket League to Linux.

I've had way too much fun with this game.

Sadly though, the crash to desktop issues are still there. Hopefully they will get ironed out sometime soon for a more pleasant experience which such a great game.

I've tried for the majority of tonight to get into a game on this new map, but no luck. I am hoping to play on it soon, but I'm enjoying it anyway. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

This is a example of a game with a simple concept and simple mechanics executed well.

(I'm glad there's DLC and the game is so fun)

Good Mechanics and Simplicity = Fun

Of course you could go the Fizbin route

This arena is an undeniable tribute to Bioshock 2....
The developers took the tribute task so seriously that even the crash bugs from Bioshock 2 are present here :P

The new map floor with the wobbly water underneath is way too distracting, in my opinion.

About the desktop crashes - they are most likely related to more than one bug, plus they occur quite randomly, so it might take a while before they get fully patched.
