To me, it almost looks like a mix of No Mans Sky in visual style, with Horizon Zero Dawn styled robotic enemies. I think it looks extremely cool and i really want to give it go!
I've requested a review key, so hopefully I can cover it in more depth soon!
About the game
Humanity is threatened. A deadly virus is rapidly spreading.
The particular flora of Arcania, a planet once used by humans for space colonization, may help in the creation of a cure. But the planet has been abandoned ever since working drones turned against humans.
A group of researchers has been sent to this planet to find a solution. You are one of them.
But as you arrived, your spaceship crashed…
Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
Most of the time they're just another game trying to be minecraft. Remember when 'Open-world' meant something like the Ultima games (except maybe 8, which was pretty linear and terrible). Now 'Open-world' mostly means 'a pointless romp around some environment where you build things, and potentially get attacked by other things that break the things you built so you have to start over.'
You can have huge landscapes, but when they all end up looking the same...

Shoot the developers an email maybe? One reason why Megabyte Punch now has a Linux version up on GOG is because I contacted the dev about it.
Very good idea. I did so myself for Sky Break. I also added it to the community wishlist at GOG in case anyone else wants to vote for it.

Quoting: KeyrockThis seems like one of the 8 billion survival games out there. Is that correct, or am I getting the wrong impression?
Yes, but this is one that actually made it out of early access. :D

Just bought and tested briefly. Graphics and atmosphere reminds me on Phantasy Star Online.
That's why I like it from the first moment. Simple but nice game-play. Good and exciting for kids, I think. With the highest graphics settings I come to a GPU utilization of 40% with my GTX 970 (resolution 1920x1080).
EDIT: Tested under Xubuntu 16.4 with nvidia driver 367.57.

QuoteThank you for contacting us. The game is only available on Steam for PC, and there is no plan for other distributors for the moment.

Quoting: PublicNuisanceI am actually the opposite of you. I started to prefer DRM free as my collection grew because it became more of a risk and a realization that Valve has the power to take my games away by banning my account. They may never do that but they have the power. If GOG were to cease to exist tomorrow I have all of my games downloaded in multiple locations so I would be unaffected.
Steam has explicit warnings if a game requires you to accept a third party EULA. It would be nice if they also explicitly state what DRM a game uses. Games you buy on Steam are a total mixture of no DRM (i.e. you can download and backup and never need to launch Steam to play), Steam DRM/API (you need Steam to download & play) and third party DRM (you download via Steam, can backup but then third party DRM kicks in).
That said, there are games which in addition to Steam DRM use Steam API for social aspects - they might be tied to Steam not because of anti-piracy protection but because of friends lists, achievements, chats etc.

Quoting: ziabiceSeems like "No Man's Sky" without the hype. Wishlisted! ;)Well, it suffers from the same problems as No Man's Sky: Fancy graphics with a lack of Gameplay and Content.

With no hype and 45 Euro price difference, I think we can be slightly more forgiving :)
