Point & Click adventure game 'The Wardrobe' [Official Site] to release with day-1 Linux support on January 26th 2017.

From what was sent to us:
QuoteFollowing a very successful showcase at Milan Games Week 2016, where C.I.N.I.C. Games had the chance to show the latest version to thousands of people in the Indie Area, and after a highly-successful Greenlight campaign, which lead to the "greenlight" in just 6 days, Adventure Productions is announcing today the official release date for 'The Wardrobe'. The adventure game will be available for Windows, Mac & Linux on Steam and Zodiac Store, starting January 26, 2017, with voices in English and Italian, and multi-language subtitles.

At the moment, the development team is implementing the voice-overs and then will start an intensive beta-testing period which will be fundamental for the final release. When finished, "The Wardrobe" will include a full Steam Trading Card System support and lots of extra assets created throughout the concept and production phases of the game.

About the game
It all happened five years ago, during a picnic arranged by Ronald and his best friend Skinny.
Things were going well, until Ronald pulled out two very tiny plums from his basket, one for Skinny and one for him. Not knowing about his deadly allergy to plums, Skinny didn’t think twice about eating it, and immediately went into anaphylactic shock which caused his sudden death. Ronald ran off, terrified.

When he woke up, Skinny discovered that he had become a skeleton and been sentenced to live in Ronald’s bedroom wardrobe forever. Since then, Skinny has watched over Ronald constantly, without his knowledge… but now things are going to change!
To save his best friend’s soul from eternal damnation, Skinny will be forced to reveal himself and make Ronald admit his 'crime'. Not a simple challenge at all!

The Video picture has something from Soul Eater.

The trailer just made me think a simple gameplay montage would have sufficed and actually communicated things i might want to know about the game.

Yeah, the video doesn't tell me much. I like the style though, and if the writing's any good, there's a decent chance I'll enjoy the game. Many of my favourite adventure games are a bit on the silly side of the spectrum.

I cringed when I heard the record scratch in the video. That said, I te.d to really like point & clicks and the art seems nice. I'll check it out once it's out.
