With the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided release happening tomorrow, Feral Interactive have released the system requirements. It will need a pretty decent rig.
It is a heavy game, I've seen plenty of reports about the Windows version requiring a beefy PC to play it reasonably well, so this isn't surprising.
Note: AMD GPUs aren't supported. The likely reason is that Mesa doesn't officially have high enough OpenGL support (the new release doesn't officially expose 4.4/4.5 yet), and it may have some performance issues to sort out.
Minimum
Intel Core i3-4130 or AMD FX8350 processor
8GB RAM
2GB Nvidia 680 graphics card (driver version 367.57).
Recommended
Intel Core i7-3770K
16GB RAM with a 6GB
Nvidia 1060 graphics card (driver version 367.57).
I will give you as much information as I can tomorrow at release on how it performs on Linux and what I think. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I've posted this before, but this is the statement from Nixxes (who did the Windows port) about what the sys reqs are meant to give you:
I assume in Feral's case it's the same, but with slight differences given what hardware they had in the office to use for testing when they did QA.

Yeah let's see how the performance on my old rig will be. I'm still enjoying Feral's ports (like Tomb Raider or Mad Max) on it, with decent framerates and not even on lowest settings.
Looking forward to this game! Hopefully the predecessor will also be ported.

Not on Linux but this game has a catch up video if you didn't play Human Revolution before this one.

I wonder how those specs are defined.
I got a feeling it's defined on what spec can run the game at a reasonably stable 60 fps rate.

It depends on whether you're looking for a stealth game or a shooter games (Deus Ex) or a melee combat and car game like Mad Max. Also you can beat Deus Ex in less time than Mad Max since it isn't open world so depends on what you're in the mood for.Can I enjoy Dues Ex in spite of microtransactions? They are getting lots of negative feedback on steam because of microtransactions and DLCs.

damn... I have 8Gig RAM ... I run openbox tho so useful RAM is alot more than those that use gnome/kde...

Microtransactions have no real effect on the main game, they are used to accelerate your progress through the "Breach mode" which is separate to the main story.
If you don't want to buy DLC or pay for microtransations you can play the main game without having to do either.

Microtransactions should be ignored (just paid cheating). Supposedly the story isn't quite finished and will be finished by DLC, which would make it a money grab. Obviously I can't confirm whether that's true or whether that's bitterness by children who didn't get what the wanted. Also some say it is very short, while others say it is only short if you race through the missions as fast as you can.
My personal take: I'll be happy to give full price to Feral for the main game, but I'm not doing that for all DLC.

After looking up on YouTube, I saw that GTX 1050 Ti offers approximately the same performance as a GTX 680, but with 4 GB of VRAM. Will I run the game on Low settings with a 1050 Ti or can hope to play on Medium? I was considering getting a new card and I don't want to spend 300 bucks on a 1060...

Yet another reason to kick myself over getting that RX 480 over a GTX 1060 back in September. My GTX 680 is now the minimum haha. Oh well, I'll still be interested in the game.

That's an idea, but I'm not used to buy used GPUs, at 200 bucks that's a risk I don't want to take. I guess I'll wait for some benchmarks to make my mind. Apart from the CPU, I've got pretty much their recommended specs. I wonder if it's the same story with this as other games I can run on both Windows and Linux. I get on average 10-20 % better frame rate in Linux, both with the 1060, and with my 750M laptop...

Are they pairing an Intel Core i3-4130 with an AMD FX8350 processor??
maybe they don't have an equivalent CPU for the i3, or maybe for some reason amd CPUs are worse than in other games, sometimes it's kinda weird, bethesda said recommended is a "i7 4xxx or 8350" for dishonored 2 for example, but in theory if a i3 4xxx is enough, a fx 6300 should be enough too.

I play on 1440p@21:9 ... Do you think would it run ok at high settings? Mad Max works just fine all High apart AA...

Not quite good choice for the future :) They might not be perfect now but they will definitely get improved, it has a lot more potential for performance especially when Vulkan comes into play...
