This news comes in thanks to GOL user Creak, who sent word that it seems 'Event[0]' [Official Site, Steam, itch.io] is closing in on a Linux release.

Last month the developer stated this about the Linux version:
QuoteWe're currently solving the last remaining issues with the sound engine. Everything else is working. If we fix these, there'll be a build :-)

I'm seriously excited about this one! It's the exact type of setting that I would happily play from start to finish. Will you grab it at release for Linux?

About the game
Event[0] is an award-winning narrative exploration game where you must build a relationship with a lonely spaceship computer to get home. Set in a retrofuture inspired by sci-fi classics such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, the game is about forging a personal relationship with your only companion, an insecure AI entity capable of procedurally generating over two million lines of dialog. You interact with the computer, named Kaizen, by typing messages on terminals throughout the ship. The reality of your situation will emerge organically as you communicate with Kaizen and explore the mysterious ship in first-person perspective. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

It's on my wishlist since the developers have announced that they will investigate for a Linux build. Seems to be a short but interesting game! Don't know if I will buy it day-one as we don't currently lack good games to buy (Tyranny, Deus Ex, Mad Max... and hopefully soon Shadow Warriors 2). :|

I have wanted this game since release. Really hope they pull it off. It's on GOG as well folks.

Wow a mix of Alien Isolation and System Shock.

Quoting: LordpkappaWow a mix of Alien Isolation and System Shock.

For the retro-futuristic settings, but not for the gameplay according to what I've seen of it (it seems to be more "Gone Home" meet "2001: A Space Odyssey" with a "fun" chatbot taking the role HAl). :)

HNNNNRK!!! My heart skipped a beat. I did not know this was coming!

Btw, Liam, the "Editing an article comment" editor needs the "Edit Comment" button changed to "Save". I mean I'm already editing the comment right? I don't want to edit it again, and again, and again, and ag..

I never heard of this one, but it looks interesting and maybe a good story line. If its at a good price I'll try it out.

It looks fantastic, but that AI voice!? I can barely understand it even with the subtitles!

Besides 2001 it also reminds me of this scene from Dark Star View video on youtube.com , the question at 2:27 and the reply is one of the best lines in a movie ever :-)
