Looks like Total War: WARHAMMER [Steam] might be closer to release for Linux, as Feral Interactive will be livestreaming the Linux version on Wednesday the 16th of November. They usually only do this when a title is near release.

Feral's Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/feralinteractive

It will start at 6PM UTC:

I'm pretty excited, as Dawn of War II has me quite interested in the Warhammer universe now since it came to Linux. I wasn't a big fan before, but I can't wait to try it out. I've always been a fan of Total War, so fusing them together sounds awesome.

There's really no stopping Feral, wow. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Same as Liam, I wasn't a fan of this universe, but now I'm even considering getting a box or two of the tabletop version!

Just don't confuse Warhammer with Warhammer 40K. This game is based on the former. They are kiiiinda in the same universe, but different eras and overall different genres.
This I know, but thanks for clarifying anyway ;)

Just making sure. :) There's a bajillion adaptations of 40K but only the occasional Warhammer, so it's easy to assume a thing is based off 40K.

Great news

I would like to see some more racing games on Linux too, like Dirt. Imagine Valve VR and Dirt on Linux this would be pretty awesome.

Nice! :D

Feral just keeps pumping games out lately!

Sooo Liam good buddy Liam so you know Feral quite well right ol' pal?

Sure ya do!

So you know how everyone on GOL would do stuff for you, well would you mind slipping a message to your friends at Feral during your gaming/livestream session with them for us?

I'll just come right out and say it.

DiRT3, they ported it to Mac a whole bunch of years ago, and that's great! But what would be greater is if they could also port it to Linux, they have the source code, they have the license so should be easily doable. I know the game works in Wine, but that's nothing compared to a Feral native port!

.....still waiting for Rome II
Isn't this almost the same? I always felt like all those Total Wars are essentially the same.
All of the historical Total War games are essentially the same, but Total Warhammer features a lot of unique fantasy elements that set it apart.

What about full mod support and cross plattform play?
Has Feral already expressed about this?
