While you should always take leaks like this with a pinch of salt, it lines up well with previous years. From what I understand, Valve shares the date with developers in places, so this is likely a screenshot taken from a developer section of Steam.
Personally, I will be looking to finally pick up and try Plague Inc: Evolved, which I've been meaning to for ages. I will also possibly grab Ultimate General: Gettysburg, as someone mentioned recently in our comments how good it is.

I never got into Shadow of Mordor, while I just finished the story of Mad Max (having plently of Motivation left to max out the car, and to do all the remaining side quests) :)
I can't help thinking that Mad Max in the hands of Gearbox (Borderlands, Borderlands 2) would have been much more interesting.

I think the same. I find Mad Max much more fun than Shadow of Mordor.
Shadow of Mordor is a good game but it turns really repetitive and it's boring that you don't see any changes or consequences in your map doing missions. For example you have some missions like enter to an orc's camp and kill some enemies fighting or poisoning the grog. After the succesful mision the camp is still full of orcs, nothings change. In Mad Max you have some similar missions but if you kill all the enemies from some camp you actually take that place for your allies and then you can enter there every time that you need fuel or water.
Also in Mad Max the map is bigger and more varied. You can find secret places with different enemies, items, or cars.
