I am very tempted to try this game, but the lack of cross-platform multiplayer is kind of annoying. This is why I can't play Company of Heroes 2 with my friends that don't want to get Linux and basically can't play as there is hardly anyone online... and will be the same with this one. How is the multi doing? Is it actually possible to play without waiting half an hour to get a game?

A bit early for me, but I'll gladly join one of these days.
Hopefully, Windows gamers will be the minority soon enough :insert_satan_emoticon_here:

I do love that company but I won't buy any non-crossplatform-multiplayer games from them - sorry, but no. Most of my friends do use windows. What's the point on buying linux-mac multiplayer games then?

They aren't excuses, they are very real technical reasons and it has been explained a number of times. It won't happen unless the original developer updates the Linux version to use a cross-platform lib for it, which is hard to do.I am very tempted to try this game, but the lack of cross-platform multiplayer is kind of annoying. I assume you meant Windows version... But yes I know the technical reasons behind this and this is what happens when developers do not think cross-platform from the ground up.
And updating the Windows version would be hard but not impossible.
