Starbound [Official Site, GOG, Steam] is going to get a major content update soon, which will feature a bunch of awesome new features.

Highlights:
- Challenging procedural dungeons
- Terraforming planets
- Weapon Upgrades
- Monsters will have weakness and resistance to different types of elemental damage, making different weapons have more uses
- Upgraded graphics for all upgradeable weapons
- Festive items bought from Space Santa at the Outpost
- Improvements to loading speed for dungeon worlds
- Various bug fixes and tweaks to boss behaviour and sounds

It's currently available to test out in the Unstable client on Steam right now.

Are you still playing it? Sadly I felt completely burnt out by it as it was in Early Access for so long. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Might download this and bring it along for the Christmas holidays, been a while since I checked in on Starbound. It always seems like such a great game but whenever I play it I never get all that far before I lose interest.
