Someone asked that I check if ETS2 supports radio streams on Linux yet, but I checked myself and apparently this feature still isn't in the Linux version.

Radio streams are still not supported on Linux, sadly. However they're poorly maintained on Windows. Example : Radio Dresden, to which I listen on a daily basis (in order to keep my German knowledge).

The radio thingy is a inconvenience that can easily be addressed by using a external program to listen the online radios, like Clementine or Amarok. In the launch they said radios cannot be supported because of license issues with the mp3 codec in their engine in Linux. So forget about it.
The Steam Controller not being recognized is (to us that use it) a much more annoying thing, because is easily fixable but they don't care.
Speaking of controllers, can I do a review of the principal options available to Linux gamer Liam? Right now I have access to the Xbox 360 and One Controllers, DS4, Logitech F710 and the Steam Controller.

This is an annoying circumstance, but I found a way to use the Steam Controller correctly. If you use sc-controller (emulating xbox360 with high precission camera) and then you run the game with Steam, you can select the XBOX360 in-game.

And I know they know about it because I emailed them, and they said they were aware of the problem. It's ironic because ETS 2 was one of the games I was most looking forward to playing with the Steam Controller.

Since ETS2 is, well, a PC simulator, their controller backed must be much more sophisticated than other games, because they must support a wide selection of custom controllers that the sim community uses. So I don't think they use abstraction layers like SDL 2. So something with the way Steam handles joypads is interfering with their games.
I not saying that as a escuse for then. I really want they put more effort on this.

I'm approaching the 150 hours on ETS2, and as I am weak, I also bought ATS when it was on sale a few days ago. Looks like I'll keep on trucking for a while! Even if the "Vive la France" DLC will have to wait for the next sales :)
