For those that remember the classic game Myst, Quern - Undying Thoughts [Steam, Official Site] a game clearly inspired by it launched with day-1 Linux support.

I've been told it currently has a limited resolution selection and it will pick your native resolution by default, so you may need to dive into the config files to adjust it to your liking, this will be addressed in a patch that's hopefully due soon. It also appears to have no VSYNC, but that's also due in a patch soon.

About the game
You try to clear your vision and get on your feet after your arrival. You hear the portal closing behind you as you take a step forward. You are trapped, your way back is gone.

Quern - Undying Thoughts is a first-person puzzle adventure game, inviting you on a journey to explore it and solve its challenges. Put your mind to the test with the increasingly complex puzzles, and unravel the mysteries of the island.

Immerse yourself in the beautiful scenery of the island as you discover new places. Follow the hints of the past as you delve deeper into the story to understand the importance of your presence. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

That looks really nice, and I'm into puzzling, but what's detering me from it is the reference to Myst...

I've been playing this for about a week and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. If you've ever played Myst then you know what to expect; there are strange machines and items that you need to figure out on your own how they work and what their purpose is. There are hints for all the puzzles scattered about but they're often hidden and even when the hints are out in the open you need to figure out on your own what they mean and which puzzle they correspond to.

This Youtube review is short and to the point and convinced me to buy it once I've finished my obsession with Warhammer Retribution (already completed Dawn of War).

It's not Linux specific, but focuses on the game mechanic which might help you decide if the game is for you.

I'll definitely pick this up. I was hoping for Obduction and The Witness but Quern looks very promising.
And.... No spanish support... No thanks..

A minority of a minority, can't be many games that satisfies your demmands.

If it's really that important you could always try and ask the developer if they want your help translating the game into Spanish. though I suspect that might ruin some of the game for you.

Nice, I liked Myst and Riven a lot and the reviews of this one are very positiv. Will definitely take a look at it.
