Homefront: The Revolution for Linux was announced with Linux support in 2014 and to this day we still can't get any clear communication on the port.
I've done many posts on it now, but sadly even I will be sweeping this one under the rug after this article. This is mainly for anyone interested to know about the state of things for this game.
After many promising signs, like the newer publisher repeatedly claiming it was still coming to Linux and plenty of activity on SteamDB, everything has dropped off. The publisher no longer speaks about it and the official Twitter account for the game only has this to say about it now:
@gamingonlinux Nothing to share at this moment in time.

After waiting so long, that kind of reply tells me a lot. The main thing is that it's likely fallen so low on their plans that it's probably never going to happen now. If it was still confirmed to be coming, they would have just said it like they did before, so this leads me to believe it's essentially been dropped.
It's sad when things like this happen. We get plenty of communication to begin with, then it all stops and then no one wants to confirm or deny anything is going to happen.
Quoting: t3gThis series is kinda garbage, with the original being the better game. I have no interest in the sequel (even when I played the original), so not having on GNU/Linux is fine with me.
Wait, the original is the better game? "Follow Connor" and unskippable cutscenes in the game where you're not even the main character?
Jesus H. Trump ... I don't think we need this thing after all.
Quoting: LinasI don't think that "it's not a good game anyway" attitude is doing us as a community any good. If it was released for Linux, I am sure that it would have been celebrated as much as it is being bashed right now. I personally would play it. I may not like it in the end, but I do want to give it try.
Well, I mean, I see GoL as a gaming site for smart individuals who use linux for whatever reason, so it is important that we get GOOD games, I want to read about good games + linux specific issues such as drivers, FLOSS software etc. We are not here to scream and beg until all shovelware in the world gets ported to linux :P
so saying that is working under linux is better than saying that is not a good game bla bla bla.
and we should look forward versions of cryengine for linux games. its just updated to cryengine 5 and just got the linux support in real.
also "SNOW" is cryengine based game which runs under linux prety well.

Well, there will be other games to play.
Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoThe port is being developed by a single guy... just one guy... Probably adhonorem...
If You look at SteamDB, You gonna see that a new DLC is in the works...
The Linux version will be here after the release of all DLCs
A one man effort would explain a lot. And contrary to much of the sentiment expressed here, I've been looking forward to this game from the beginning. There have indeed been mixed reviews, but the RPS review was the one that confirmed for me that this would be a game I would enjoy immensely.
