Wine Staging have released their 2.0-rc5 release which sounds like a pretty interesting release. Plenty of new stuff to play with.
Note: Wine Staging is the area where Wine features are tested before it goes into the main Wine development area.
Included in 2.0-RC5 in Wine Staging:
- Initial support for Mandatory Integrity Control.
- PE loader improvements.
- Removal of 32GB memory limit on 64 bit.
- Initial support for Trust Info inside manifest files.
- Fixes and improvements for 13 smaller Wine bugs.
They also note "Origin, Uplay, GOG Galaxy and many more" have much better support in this release, which I imagine will be useful for plenty of people.

Would be interesting if we could use the Windows version of GOG Galaxy to update our Linux games in absence of an actual Linux client. Doesn't seem likely though.

I fought with Origin last week, and finally gave up. I'll have to update, and try again!

I log on to Origin when they give out free games in hopes of a future Linux release. That's about it with them.

Only just noticed this and now happily have GOG Galaxy. The .exe just worked with absolutely no issues.
I'm downloading the Gwent Beta now to see if that will run.

Yes, GOG installers behave much better with this Wine release.
