I'll be there to annoyingly beg for a launch discount. ;)

So cool to have this on Linux. I hope the Steam Controller will be supported.

I don't want to see it. I want to play it!

If it's the same guys that did the Hitman preview, they did a really good job of interacting with the audience. I wish more shops would do the same --
Please do! :)

If it is good enough for streaming it is good enough for playing. They should just release it instead of baiting people that are waiting eagerly for the port.

What do you think how many people are involved in this? This is not just Feral.
I enjoy Feral's streams and just like to watch them. It's cool to have a stream just one day before the release. This has become a nice tradition between Feral an the community.
Of course they could do without it, but who would benefit? The game would not appear a second earlier without the stream.

And here you can see the difficulties of marketing. I don't enjoy that at all, to me it looks more like "Look, we have this totally playable game here and show you us playing with it! How sad that we can't give it to you right now, you will only get it later, poor boy!".If it is good enough for streaming it is good enough for playing. It looks almost like they want to insult their customers.

at nuuvem.com there is a carnival sale for south america for 41 reales (14 usd).Shows $23.99 for me, but Feral wouldn't get a cent. I'm hoping they'll have a 50% off launch sale in their own store and Steam like they did with Hitman.

It's playable, but that doesn't mean it's releasable. Mysterious, right?
Besides, one of the reasons why we do these streams is to show the game to Linux users who aren't yet sure if they want it themselves. I think it's pretty awesome that you're already keen to play it. Our job is already done. :D
@PixelPi @saildata Thanks very much!

Sorry, not buying that, and this is why I spoke about the difficulties of marketing: You can't do it right for everyone, but it is very easy to bork it in general.

Correct: devs can't always release a game the second it's playable. The process just isn't that simple. You're gonna have to trust us on that; we've been doing this for a while.

It seems with feral that the ritual has to happen in the evening after a busy Thursday. The idol should appear in the feral circler of transfer, and then quickly in your steam library (depending of the power of the elements from your master ISP)

I don't know about if feral won't get a cent, they do sell linux keys, they have the linux icon unlike other stores that don't have it. I'll wait a couple of days to see if they update the page to display the linux icon. They seem like a legit key reseller, but as far as I understand, key resellers sell pre-generated keys, and usually these keys register as Windows sales. In addition to a Linux icon, you probably need to check if they add Feral as a publisher. Currently they only list Deep Silver. Or you could just mail their support and ask.
Personally I like to make extra sure what little money I spend supports Linux gaming, but the choice is yours and I'm not telling you to boycott nuuvem.com or anything. Let's hope the game is worth the wait. :)

I generally agree with the basic statement here. More importantly I really appreciate that they give the developers enough time to complete the project. What would be bad would be 90% complete and pushed out the door to meet the unrealistic deadline (not speaking from experience ;) )
Also, if they say this time that they can release in t-1 days, next time they scramble and people may expect t-2, which goes back to my previous comment about quality vs. realistic deadlines. @ellie_feral +1!
Allll that jazz to say that I appreciate their enthusiasm to stay after work into the evening to interact with the community. Many others just want to, and perhaps rightfully so, go home and press the shiny "release" button the following morning : ) Cheers --
