Awesome news to start the day, not only is Torment now available, but it seems like Telltale's 'The Walking Dead' [Steam] may be heading to Linux.

This is amazing, seriously. I am a huge TWD fan having watched every episode available in the UK and even reading some of the comics. Having this on Linux will be fantastic, as it's another game I've held off buying on any platform in the hopes to one day see it on Linux.

News comes from SteamDB where this popped up:
QuoteChanged Depots
207613/config/oslist: linux
207613/name: The Walking Dead Depot

I've reached out to my contact at Telltale to see if we can get a comment, or a confirmation.

For those that don't know, it's an episodic adventure game where your decisions matter. With it set in the same world as The Walking Dead, but with a new set of characters. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I *may* care about the GoT novel(s), if they were released next.

I'm looking forward to other Telltale games being ported, The Wolf Among Us was something special for me couple of years ago. Very fun games, if you don't replay them and realize that you really only had illusion of choice.

This depot change is for the first season, right? I hope they decide to port the other seasons as well, that way I can buy the 3rd one on Linux instead of PS4 :-)

I like traditional adventure games like Telltale used to do, but I don't much care for this format. Maybe there's a remote chance they might bring their older catalogue over if this stuff sells? I'd definitely want to play the Sam & Max stuff at least, and Puzzle Agent seems cool.

Quoting: ChiKinThe great thing is that all telltale games run on the same engine, so if you can port one, it shouldn't be hard to port the whole lot. I'm currently playing my way through Tales From The Borderlands on my Windows laptop. It's a great game!

I beat Borderlands, didn't play much of 2, and never played Pre Sequel. In order to understand Tales, do I need to play all of them?

No you don't, but it's a lot more fun if you understand all the backstories. The plot of Tales of The Borderlands starts after Borderlands 2, and considering Pre-Sequel came out after Borderlands 2 it doesn't really add much. Borderlands pre-sequel tells Athena's story, and she features heavily in Tales. But you will have fun with the game either way. You won't be completely lost or anything. I think they do a good job explaining the missing bits in the narration in Tales.

Just play all of them. Borderlands is awesome!!! :)

It was a mistake, someone on Reddit also had the same situation.

This isn't the first time a game that's getting a Linux port has shown up early only to vanish again for a while.
