The latest point release for the stable Mesa version is now available as 13.0.4. It brings in fixes for multiple drivers.

For those that don't know, you will likely be using Mesa with Intel, older NVIDIA and likely a lot of AMD GPUs. The next Mesa release should be Mesa 17 due this month and it sounds exciting.

From the release announcement:
QuoteMultiple fixes for the i965 and radeonsi drivers. An odd glitch in glxgears
when using the freedreno driver was also addressed.

The ANV driver being the prime source of patches - from compatibility
improvements with newer Vulkan loaders, smoketesting and various rendering and
compliance fixes.

A couple of longstanding issues in the VA state tracker have also been resolved.

Mesa is making great progress, good to see these fixes.

It's good to see progress but I'd definetely take even more progress.

Juste installed a Radeon RX480 (with latest stable MESA) and judging by the Heaven benchmark it's notably slower than my HD7970 Ghz was in Windows 7 on the same rig two years back :'(

Also the sb loop bugfix in R600 seems to be backported, could have been a blocker if R600 era cards weren't legacy. Everyone having those could consider this a top priority update.

Sorry to hear this. I hope that changes soon because that RX480 is definitely at least twice as powerful as that HD7970. Things are moving along at a decent pace I trust your issue will be solved soon. Hang in there friend.
