MX Nitro [Steam, Official Site] is another title that popped up on SteamDB today and the developers behind this motocross racing game stated on Steam it should arrive 'very soon'.

From the Steam forum post:

It's actually a game that was only released for Windows this year, so it's great to see it arrive for Linux so soon after the original release!

About the game
Pimp out everything: Kit out your favorite bike, suit up with custom outfits and take to the tarmac, dirt or wow the crowd in the arena! Keep winning to unlock unique rider skins, bike upgrades, ace challenges and grab achievements.

Pick a trick: With 55 unique stunts to learn you can make your mark mid-air. California Roll through the sand dunes, Tsunami over treetops or Whip, Flip and Coffin for the win. But get that timing right because eating dirt is never a good look.

Keep the engine revving: With a 40 hour Solo-campaign featuring head to head Boss-races, you can hone your skills for a lifetime of challenges against friends and other riders from around the world in online multiplayer. Have you got what it takes to challenge the daredevils and dominate the leaderboards?

Looks good! Trials Fusion was a lot of fun on Windows, and I have fond memories of Motocross Madness so I'll definitely pick this one up. No multiplayer though?

Hey poke.

Only type of mp we have is async (riding vs ghosts). So if you expecting real-time mp, sorry - we dont have it.

Had me excited there for a moment, thought it might be something like the MX vs ATV games that I loved as a kid. Still looks fun.
I actually played a game similar to this on an XBone demo system. On a separate note, after using my Steam controller for several months, the XBone controller felt very small and alien. I kept hitting the wrong buttons.

Oh well. It's not a big deal for me anyway and ghost-chasing is still fun at parties.

Thanks for the reply!

Not my schtick at all, but it's not a niche where I've seen much for Linux so hurrah!

I hope they have better controls than the Trials series. Although good, they are to much difficult to the point of being frustrating.

Lets hope too the gamepad support to be top notch. This is not the type of game you want to try your luck with a keyboard.

Are the devs porting this themseles? As much as I love porters and porting houses such as Ethan Lee, Feral, and Aspyr, and I do, it's great when the game devs take the time to learn developing for Linux themselves :D

I played silly amounts of Trials Fusion back in the day, so this pleases me a lot!

Hey magoid. Game do support xbox controller (was tested using valve patched xbox drivers).

However, it's fully playable on keyboard, and not with a large handicap.

Hey Keyrock. Yes, we do.

Hey Luke. Many people seem to expect Trials Fusion gameplay, but it's not the same experience, so please be advised.

It looks fun, I haven't played a motocross game in ages so looking forward to this.

Watching the video, I see that. But it's still a similar style of game ;)

Note: The developer has sent me a key, so I will be able to take a look when it does arrive.

Ok, this smells like a purchase. I like the honest tone of this representative, too. That's how to communicate.

EDIT: I found a review of it too, and from our perspective it looks good:
http://www.psu.com/review/32207/mx-nitro-review

The cons of the game doesn't affect us much, since we don't have the competitors on our platform:

Little personality
Underwhelming presentation
All very familiar

The good sides are more meaty:
Plenty of customisation and upgrades
Decent controls
Bikes handle well

With the conclution: "MX Nitro needed something striking to get noticed, and it just doesn’t have that special spark. It remains a good motocross game, but one that consistently sits in the middle of the mud-sprayed pack."

All in all sounds like a nice title to get on our side of the ballpark.
