The latest elusive target in HITMAN [Steam] is now available to try and take down! The good news is that Feral Interactive have kept up with the Windows version and we have it at exactly the same time.
For those that don't know, elusive targets are time-limited challenges where you're given an new target to kill. You only get one life too, so you have to be very careful. They are incredibly challenging and damn fun to do. I wonder if I will fail this one as miserably as I did my first one, but it sure will be fun to try!
Note: You can find my previous port report and review on HITMAN here.
Also, if you missed my release-day livestream of an entire mission here's a video for you taken from the stream:

Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
Quoting: GuestThat's the most gimmicky thing I've ever heard of. A level that is only available to play for a certain period of time and only lets you try it once? How about no, and take back control over your own games. Glad I didn't support this. Publishers need to learn to stop ruining games with their gimmicks. Let us play them when we want, how we want, with no strings attached.
Ok, so play the game as you normally would, and forget you ever heard of this. It detracts nothing.

First off, That's the entire point of Elusive Targets. Secondly, dude, It's just for fun. Chill.

Please explain to me how you'd advertise a game then without a Gimmick? Also, Hitman is a Sandbox game, the entire point is to kill targets in different ways. Screwdriver to the head, Scissors cut on the throat, Fireaxe to the forehead, Poison, Drowned in the toilet, Explosive Golfball, Falling... the list goes on.

This would be quite some effort for a single play, so I'd guess it's not a new level, but a new task in an existing level.
Having only one chance to do it adds much to the excitement, I guess!

Let us play them when we want, how we want, with no strings attached.I'm with the others on this. So what if it's a gimmick? All games have gimmicks. It's an additional feature where the developers repeatedly add in entirely new missions to do and the challange is to do it without dying or that's it. It's entirely optional and it's actually very fun due to knowing if you fuck up that's it. That actually increases the fun of them for me, to know I have to really concentrate and really think it through. It's a true test of your abilities in the game.
It's completely separate from the rest of the game, it's a bit of extra fluff. Tons of games have daily and weekly challenges, this is no different.
I don't get the issue.

I'm so hyped to get home from work and try my first elusive target. I've been loving HITMAN, I've completed 3 of the story missions so far, though I only managed to silent assassin one of them. I expect to fail the elusive target mission miserably, but I will do my best. :D

The Cryptodancer has a similar thing. As does Speed Runners. And Payday 2 now that I think of it. The whole Daily Challenge thing isn't really my thing either, but they're still an awesome idea to raise engagement and keep the game fresh.

I tried it on my PC (Intel Core 2 quad & GT 630) and the tutorial thing at the start was really good, it's just a shame an upgrade would be so expensive because the performance really sucked D:

To me, the issue is that such temporary content does nothing for the long-term growth of the game. The event comes, and goes, and then the game is at the exact state it was before. These things do consume developer resources that otherwise could have been used to make the game -permanently- larger and add to its replayability.
A much better solution would have been to leave in these targets permanently, but make it so that dying would put you on a long cooldown (e.g. a week) before you can try again.

Unfortunately I am encountering bug with Hitman.
I am running Debian Stable and NVidia. Graphics is OK with no glihch, but control is unusable.
Even in menu, when I move with mouse it is flashing all the time. When mouse is steady, cursor will disappear.
Additionally for some reason game is thinking that I am holding UP arrow and LEFT key. So when I start the game, hitman is walking in circle :D
Can somebody help me?

Just guessing, but do you have a controller plugged in that might interfere?
