To sum it up, FEZ is a game that was originally released for Linux on September 13th, 2013 and at its launch was met with critical acclaim by professional reviewers, although the response among users wasn't that enthusiastic, according to Metacritic. The last update it received was on August 12th, 2016, as you can see in the following GOL article. There was going to be a sequel, but a couple of weeks after its release the cancellation was officially confirmed by Polytron.

You may think of Phil Fish as you like, but this game is a masterpiece. Thanks to Renaud Bédard and Ethan Lee we have a flawless Linux version, and this game is really fun to play. Really nice pixelart and good puzzles which you don't have to complete all to finish the game. In fact, you can play a second run, where you complete the remaining puzzles to get a different ending.
The variety of the puzzles is great, some are depending on time, for others you need a good ear (or have rumble on your gamepad) etc.
I enjoyed this game a lot.

It's PWYW, as long as you P at least 50 cents. :)
Sure the game is worth it and the profit goes to a good cause. Still, the one cent price feels like a joke when itch doesn't accept payments of less than fifty.

I have to admit that I did not enjoy Fez very much. I found traveling between different maps confusing and tedious. The lack of any story or direction made me wonder what the point of the whole thing is? And in the end I just wanted to finish the game and move on. Not saying that it is a bad game, but it was not for me. Braid and In Between managed to capture my attention, but Fez did not.

As a neutral observer, I can't help but point out that the ACLU is, in my opinion, not "a good cause."

I was literally about to get this game, and then I did a little bit of research on the ACLU. The first paragraph on wikipedia was enough for me. I'm not even paying one cent for Fez, no matter how good it looks, if they're giving the money to the ACLU.
