Don't pass up a fantastic deal guys. Total War WARHAMMER can be bagged for only $12 in the currently Humble Monthly Bundle.

That's a crazy price, considering you get a bunch of extra games too. You can cancel the monthly bundle at any time (personally tested that), so it's a great deal. Total War WARHAMMER is a fantastic game and a really well done port from Feral Interactive too!

The Humble Monthly Bundle also gives you 10% off purchases from the Humble Store. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

That games is not available on Mac. However, I don't see any threads in the Steam Forum asking for when it will be available.
The GNU/Linux thread had a very large number of posts.
Anybody willing to reason on this?

My guess is because Apple's hardware limitations. There are some configurations and that's it.

If they know their hardwares are not capable of these new games at the moment, then it's normal not to be asked by Mac folks.

Looking at the main page it seems that Feral announced that they are working on it with Metal. So it's pretty much confirmed that it is coming if I'm not mistaken (someone that knows more should be able to confirm this if true ^^).

But wow, I picked my first Humble Monthly last month for XCOM2 and now this ? :O It's way cheapper than in the Steam sale (plus with luck, maybe one or two good Linux game coming with it)
Just one thing I want to know before buying. I no longer see any mention of Denuvo in the main page, has it been removed ? At least in the Linux version ? (if yes, that's a new buyer :D)

Nice deal :) I went ahead and got it...
I just really hope that the feral guys get their share!

Awesome.
I also bought the last bundle for xcom2 and got pleasently surprised with Steamworld Heist.
I then found out that I already owned MadMax from last years june bundle - nearly bought that in the last humble sale :D

Hmmmmm, I'm seriously considering buying my first Humble Monthly for this game. The game looks great, and $12 is the right price for it, and then there are the other games too.

Linux users tend to be proactive while Mac users seem content with whatever they're given. This is likely because Apple's marketing department spends millions of dollars a year to convince certain consumers that they don't need anything other than what Apple sells them.

Total Warhammer is worth the money at full price. $12 is almost highway robbery!

Yeah, thinking about getting the new month's subscription myself. I did get last month's subscription in order to acquire XCOM-2. Then on last month's subscription, there were 8 additional games. Of those 8 additional, 2 were for Linux, and the others weren't. I'm a little disappointed in that regard. However, quite pleased to say that I didn't already own any of the games in the bundle (It's annoying if you get given something you already own.)

Last month's Linux games: XCOM-2, Steamworld Heist, Okhlos
Remainder (not Linux): Ryse: Son of Rome, ABZU, Project Highrise, Husk, Hollow Knight, Oh, Deer!

My own experience with Humble Subscription - Yes, you can cancel it, rather than continue running and get charged for the next month, *BUT*: It is best to cancel approx 24th of the month, because on 26th-27th they already grab the money for the next month, because you didn't cancel it soon enough. (You can still speak to Support and get a refund, but in order to avoid that.)
Also, it is good to decide to buy EARLY because from starting subscription until the date you end it (say 3rd Feb - 24th Feb), during that subscribed period, you get 10% discount on Store purchases. (As soon as you end the subscription, the 10% discount also goes.)

I read a couple of reviews, and bought it. Looking forward to trying it out tomorrow (my crappy internet will take most of the night to download it!)

Bought it and tried. I was a fan of Rome 2 and Shogun 2 and I am already in love with this. Performance feels similar, if not better, to Attila TW.
The whole DLC thing feels like a ripoff but wait until they are 75%-80% off and problem solved. I will certainly pick up the blood DLC at some point.

I think a typical Mac user will not primarily be a gamer. They'll look at the App Store and see some games, choose one or a couple and be happy they have something to play. They won't care if it's brand new or 10 years old (or rather, they will when they see their brand new 2000 pound machine can't run the game properly or at all).

Now the Linux folk... they're a well-informed, demanding bunch, aren't they?

I'm writing this from a Macbook running Linux, so I believe I can say it all with a straight face.

I tried playing it and had no idea what I was doing. Can anyone recommend me a lets play/youtube to help me figure it out?

You know, I don't actually have a problem with the DLC. The main game offers a substantial amount of content for the price and could easily keep someone entertained for dozens and even hundreds of hours, and for the most part, each DLC offers as much as a traditional expansion pack at a reasonable price. For example, The King and the Warlord DLC sells for $8 and gives you:

Two new Legendary Lords…
…with new quest chains, magic items and skill trees
Two new additional Lord types
Six all-new battlefield units
22 all-new elite Regiments of Renown

That's actually quite a lot of content for the asking price.

Then there's Realm of the Wood Elves which sells for $19 and gives you:

- New Wood Elves Race in the Grand Campaign
- New additional Race-specific currency: Amber
- Wonder-based Campaign victory condition
- Wood Elves may conquer any region on the map
- Two New Playable Legendary Lords: Orion and Durthu
- Two new Lord types with deep-specialisation skill trees
- Three new Hero types with deep-specialisation skill trees
- Comprehensive Wood Elves army roster
- Adds an additional campaign map to the game with the unique ‘Season of Revelations’ Wood Elves story Campaign
- New Unique Monsters, Heroes, Magic and Game Features

Again, a substantial amount of content for the asking price.

Yes, if you buy everything at full price then it's a pretty significant amount of money to be spending, but since the DLC is additional content and not necessary content (at least in my opinion), you can buy the main game now and enjoy dozens of hours of gameplay while you wait for the DLC to go on sale.

The only one I have a problem with is Blood for the Blood God which is basically this game's horse armor: a pointless bit of cosmetic fluff that should have been a free update, or sold for $0.25 if they really had to put a price tag on it (apparently it wasn't included in the main game because this would conflict with some countries' censorship laws, so a cost may be legally required, but $3 is too much for what you get).

Quoting: GuestI just subscribed to humble monthly last month. Yay. Unfortunately of the games available last month only 3 work on linux.

That's why i don't like to subscribe to Humble Monthly, plus the DRM-Free "problematic".
It could be great to have all the bundles only available on all OS (Windows, Mac, Linux).
And this can be applied to some Humble Bundles too, unfortunately...
slaapliedje Feb 4, 2017
I was confused, because I didn't get another key (I already bought the game) but that's because it's in March's Humble Monthly Bundle, not February's.
