Beat Cop [GOG, Steam, Humble Store] looks fantastic, with a glorious mix of high quality pixel art and a setting inspired by 80’s cop shows. It launches on March 30th and it has a brand new trailer.

Really good to see it get a release on the major stores, should keep everyone happy!

Features
  • Nonlinear story with multiple endings - Someone framed you and no one gives a rat’s ass about this but you. Turn every stone in this city and find out who did that. The further you investigate the more missing puzzles you’ll find, but be careful. Some things should never be brought to daylight.
  • The essence of 80’s cop shows - Have you ever dreamed of being one of the heroes of cop movies? Of course you did, like we all. Now you have a chance. Be sexier than Sonny Crocket and tougher than Dirty Harry. And if witty comebacks won’t work, you can always do some old school ass kicking. It’s 80’s after all!
  • The humour that your mom wouldn’t approve - Be sarcastic. Be gloom. Be whatever you want. There are thousands of things in this world you can laugh at, and even more you shouldn’t, but who cares. It’s jungle out there baby, and sometimes you just need something to release the stress.

Will you look to pick up a copy? I've requested a key from a PR team we speak to so hopefully I can give it some thoughts. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Sounds interesting, and good to see them trying to release it widely on day one.

I'll be buying it, the trailer tickled my funny bone & who wouldn't want to be a bad cop like in the tv series The Shield?

Not necessarily a game that I need to pick up at day one. But it sounds and definitely looks interesting. Looking forward for the reviews.

I'm really looking forward to Beat Cop. If I remember right I would have backed the kick starter but was broke at the time. Luckily I should have some money for it when it's out.
