Good news everyone! The Linux version of Civilization VI should get the 'Australian Summer' update and DLC soon it seems.

I spoke to Aspyr in February where they said it would be on Linux in a matter of weeks. Last night, they tweeted this out:

Australia is coming to Civilization VI on Mac and Linux soon! Are you ready to take #OneMoreTurn Down Under? pic.twitter.com/1lIbJBdbMz

Looks like it's finally closing in. Although, the "Australia Civilization & Scenario Pack" DLC doesn't have a very positive rating on Steam.

Be honest, how many hundreds of hours have you poured into it already?

I'm still considering if Civ 6 is worth it. What I heard about the game didn't make me interested. AI problems, graphics, too much simplicity etc.

If you haven't bought it yet, I wouldn't recommend it unless you are playing exclusively multiplayer. The AI is really bad. This update supposedly improves the AI to AI+ mod levels. I have AI+ mod installed and the AI is still really bad.

Yes ^_^.
I will wait in order to begin a new game that Aspyr pushes the update.

edit : I'm curious about trying the scenario too.

I simply do not have the time for these kind of games.

I'm optimistic it will improve further, even if it isn't there yet.

I'm hoping for performance improvements. I would like to get more than 15 frames per second on a busy map on low settings. Civ 5 runs great on the same same system with everything maxed.

As for the game itself, I think it's perhaps the best Civ game to date, although the AI could use some help.

I don't see the incentive to buy it. I can play Civ 5 with friends on Windows. I can't do that with Civ 6. The changes to the game seem superficial, and doesn't seem to warrant a new instalment.
