Full Throttle Remastered [GOG, Official Site] now has a release date, which is the 18th of April. Also, it seems GOG have snagged an exclusive deal on the pre-orders for it.

Nearly 22 years after the original Full Throttle release, the Remastered version from Double Fine Productions is almost here.

It will launch with hand-drawn and 3D high-resolution artwork, with remastered audio and music.

Will you be picking up a copy? It's one game I completely missed from my youth, so I will certainly be giving the new edition a go! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

As with most remasters... I'll buy it by the time hits a big sale.

Does anyone know how to complete the first level of Full throttle ? 'cos on PC it was a knightmare to get off the first level.

Was it actually confirmed to have a Linux version on day one?

I will be needing this though. I never played the original of this one.

I thiiiiink the Linux version will not be day 1, so pre-orders might possibly still just count as Windows sales. Need more info for clarity.

Man this brings back some memories, I played this on an Apple LC520- 25MHz processor & somewhere between 5 & 10 MB RAM.

I'll buy it as soon as the Linux version out. But no Linux port, no buy.

Although I'm a big adventure fan, I missed this one back then, so it will actually be the first time I buy it. :)

If it's like Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle, the linux version will come out later, there should also probably be a discount at that time. If it's a sure day 1 Linux I would pre order but would not bet on it.

I don't know anything about the game, but a remastered edition might fix stuff that would make people ragequit. Like the director’s cut of Broken Sword improved the goat puzzle...

GOG already lists the game as Linux game, so it should be a Day-1 release, Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle were announced without Linux support and got it later in. But as always I won't preorder, I buy when there IS a Linux version and not before the first discounted sale. I have enough to play until that time ;)

Hmm, does GOG have any way to rate something a <platform>-sale?

GOG store doesn't have a notion of "OS sale" for cross platform games. They can count downloads per OS. So if you bought it, and downloaded the Linux version, that would reflect on their Linux statistics.

I never got past that bit of the game.

I own the original big box CD version of this. A friend recommended it as I had a bunch of other classic adventure titles I was collecting about 10 years back. Real fun game.

There are walkthroughs out there with step by step directions.

But purely from memory, you use the hand to punch yourself out of the dumpster, go back to the bar, talk to the bartender, then use the hand on his nose ring to persuade him to help you.

I was about to ask what happened to the guys behind the original game then I realised the guy in the teaser IS one of the guys behind the original game. :D

Yeah, I noticed. I hope it won't take @Cheeseness too long to finish it.
