The 'Ancient Ruins' update for Slime Rancher [Steam, GOG] is now live. This update adds in an entire new area filled with new types of slimes to catch.

The new slime addition this time is the 'quantum slime' and it sounds like a tricky one. It phases in and out of existence, so be sure you're looking at the real one.

You can also find Phase lemon trees which sound rather tricky to harvest from, requiring some sort of binding agent.

This game is an absolute gem. My girlfriend loves it and my son adores it! Highly recommended as we've all spent hours playing it. It gets bigger and better with every release and it's just simple good fun.

Easily one of the best in-development games available on Linux today. The reviews are "Overwhelmingly Positive" on Steam and I'm really not surprised.

Find the full changelog here. You can also see the roadmap here of what's to come in future updates in 0.6 and beyond. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Looking forward to this one releasing and I suspect it'll be instabuy. A wee bit concerned that their roadmap lists up to 0.6 and and some unannounced features, but doesn't talk about launch day, but their EA page on Steam still claims that they're aiming for launch this spring.

The game really is quite charming :) I played several major updates ago and enjoyed my time, but decided to wait until launch to play further, hopefully that's not too far off now ^^

Same here. Though those quantum slimes are quite tempting. :)
