Survival game 'MewnBase' has come along very nicely and now has weather systems

I keep a keen eye on 'MewnBase' [itch.io] as it's a cute and simple survival game about a space cat trying to survive on a barren planet. It's had a few big updates recently to know about.

First of all, the game now has a weather system. So you can expect to see rain and sandstorms. Sandstorms are particularly troublesome as they end up covering your solar panels, which you need to power your oxygen supply.

When you start a new game, it's no longer a panic to gather everything right away as the game will give you a couple of supply crates to start you off.

There's now a garage you can build, which enables you to start building vehicles which sounds really fun too. It can take a while to explore, so the addition of buggies is awesome.

You also now see status effects for when you're starving, suffocating, healing and so on. So it has a fair bit more polish than the past few releases.

There's a full day and night cycle, which of course will affect your solar panels, so you need to store up your converted energy.

Overall, it feels much more like a game, which is really pleasing and it's really cheap to buy while it's in development at only $3. I'm really looking forward to seeing what becomes of this one.
