The developers of Vikings - Wolves of Midgard [Steam] have confirmed that Linux is planned, but it won't be until after the initial Windows release.
From their now updated FAQ:
Previously the game had a section open for Linux/SteamOS system requirements, which has been removed since the FAQ has been updated to say that.
Hopefully this won't be another we end up chasing down, but their publisher Kalypso Media is pretty Linux friendly, so it would be nice if we don't have to.
About the game
The Action RPG Vikings – Wolves of Midgard takes you to the Shores of Midgard, a world based upon the mythology and history of the Vikings, but with a fantasy twist. Battle the fearsome Jotan, hordes of terrifying undead monstrosities and the beasts of Ragnarok, as you strive to survive the growing cold that threatens to end all life, forever. Master mighty weapons, including sword and shield, two-handed hammers, dual-wielded axes and swift bows. Earn blood in battle to offer in tribute to the Gods in order to acquire and enhance devastating Spell Powers and other special unlockables.
It looks and sounds awesome, so hopefully we won't be kept waiting for too long. I would love to see more action RPG like games on Linux.

That's all but a cRPG.

Normally, when I read that a game will be released "after the Windows version," I think "Ah, good, they'll get to it sometime before the heat death of the universe!" and delete it from the "Things to Look Forward to" file in my brain.
But I must say, I'm heartened by Kalypso's track record of Linux support and fully expect WoM will be released shortly after the Win version. I've had it on my wishlist since early last August and have really been looking forward to it.

Quoting: GuestStrange, I still see the 24€:And I see 38.29 € down from 44.99 € in Finland. That's some major regional pricing.

This is the first I've heard of this game, but man, that trailer made it look really, really good. I don't think I can continue liking myself if I don't buy it.

Quoting: GuestWow! Indeed, if I use my computer in Spain to go to the page it also shows me 44.99->38.29€.It's just currency conversion, these days everyone pays the same price but converted to your currency so 38.29 in Spain is the same as 29.79 in the UK.
I wonder if this is on purpose (why?) or some sort of error....

Quoting: lucifertdarkIf you look at the screen grab with the lower price in Pit's earlier post, it clearly shows € (euro) as the currency, and he said he was in Sweden, not the UK. Converted to Swedish kronor the price would be 363.49 according to Google. Besides, 38.29 € is more like £33.20.Quoting: GuestWow! Kalypso told me the Linux version would delay about 4 weeks.
So end of April it is, if nothing happens..
Can you please ask them if they'll release the Linux version on GOG? Multiplayer feature is a suspect, since they might use Galaxy / Steamworks, and the former isn't available for Linux.

About Gog I asked them a long time ago, and they were not sure at that time. But I'll ask again!
