It's been a while since I put a question to the community, so here it is! What are you currently playing and what do you think about it?
I'm still very fond of Ballistic Overkill and recently Insurgency, still a big FPS fan myself and that will never change.
For Ballistic Overkill, it's the simple pleasures here. It's accessible, we never have problems finding a game and the performance is fantastic.
Insurgency is a different matter, as it's difficult, much more realistic and really quite fun to do the co-op mode.
Highly recommend them both.

I've just finished the main story of Hitman, it's actually the first game in years that I've wanted to play all the way through to the end. I want more!

Deponia. I started playing it again during an internet outage that lasted more than 12 hours. It's quite fun, and I am enjoying this point-and-click adventure game as the first in a long time. Plus, no internet=no cheating. It's way harder, but I finished chaos on Deponia that way. I'm now onto the third opus, but I'm still torn on the main character, Rufus. He's not your standard hero; he can even be quite despicable at some times. But he can also be kind and likeable at others. I'm waiting to finish the series to formalize my opinion, though.
Other than that, I've been enjoying some garry's mod with some friends (playing some prop hunt, murder, hide and seek and others while in a vocal chat can be hilarious). I still think a lot of mods are of quite low quality and could be improved substantially. People are getting lots of error (the big, flashing, in-game giant error models) from unknown (to them) player models, weapons, cars, props, etc when I'm hosting, plus extremely long waiting times due to having to download lots of (unneeded) stuff from my computer. A lot of improvements can be made there (I also miss the small icons jumping around when downloading stuff, that was more useful than the progress bar that fills over and over, as it gave an idea of the overall progress). So, a mixed bag for that one, but it's still fun (when we can finally connect!).
That's about all, I haven't been playing *that* much recently, as I'm trying to balance it with work, social life, and sleep :P

I've been playing through Infinifactory, where you create transportation and welding mechanisms to build and deliver... things. It's a strange game. I didn't find it very stringent, it's not delivering new mechanisms and using them in an intelligent way. Still, I played through it, taking 80 hours. It's just satisfying: build machines, see them fail over and over again, until it all fits together... just to be confronted with another, even more complicated task. In the end, it got too complicated, but I didn't want to give up before finally... well, go see yourself. :)
80 hours, that's place 5 in my personal charts, after Frozen Synapse, XCOM, Skyrim and Wasteland 2.

"Pillars of Eternity" - working my way through this quite slowly, as I'm enjoying the ride. I'm finding this more satisfying than the isometric RPGs from the classic era. I wish I had more time to spend on it, as I want to play Tyranny before PoEII arrives.
"Shovel Knight" - I was a bit disappointed by this. Push-scrollers were lame enough in the 1980s. The platforming is well done, but the controls aren't the best.
"Chaos Reborn" - I love this game, but there are nowhere near enough players. I hadn't played it for ages but I have a few asynchronous games running just now. Generally getting my arse handed to me.
"Simon Tatham's Portable Puzzle Collection" - especially "Bridges".
"Shovel Knight" - I was a bit disappointed by this. Push-scrollers were lame enough in the 1980s. The platforming is well done, but the controls aren't the best.

Thanks to a news here about the Payday 2 Humble Bundle back in January I bought it for myself and got 3 of my Windows mates to get a copy as well. Since then I've logged more than 50 hours in it and it's real fun (going infamous tonight if everything goes well ^^).
Thanks to the crossplay between Windows and Linux I can now enjoy multiplayer with them without having to boot to Windows just to launch Batllefield 4, as far as I remember I didn't boot Windows since then :)
I was skeptical about this game but I can now recommend it ^_^

IN my spare time I play right now following games.
Total War: Warhammer - The best Total War I ever played.
Brütal Legend - Nice idea and story but sadly the open world feels a little shallow. But the Music is just awesome.
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter - Since CrossOver supports now 64bit applications I tested it and is works nearly flawless and looks gorgeous. The 32 bit version only supported low textures, which looked incredible bad. I like the setting and the story, I even made a paper for all the hints and relations of the characters.

My wife and I have both been playing Stardew Valley and loving it! I've got 171 hours in it so far.

It's hella fun, particularly LoZ.
Also Digimon World on the PS4, also very fun, but is definitely a marathon rather than a sprint. You spend a lot more time raising Digimon than exploring, at least at the start of the game.
On Linux, I last played Deus Ex and L4D2. Deus Ex is as fun as it was on day one, but I'm still stuck looking at everything. I've just finished The Rucker Extraction, and am on my way to my extraction point.
L4D2 is still fun if you have a group of people to play with. Once in a while the stars align and we get a game in.

Night in the Woods - really good, if you're into that sort of thing. Kinda on pause atm though because Breath of the Wild exists and I can't stop playing it.

XCOM 2 - got my ass kicked in my first attempt, ending in defeat. Ready to do it again though!
Dirt Rally - Can't get enough of this.
Hitman - Totally awesome - I can get lost for hours in this game.
Lara Croft GO - A nice puzzle game, which i've unfortunately finished already.
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis :D

Verdun: a great WW1 team based FPS. Wish I had more uninterrupted time to fully enjoy the game, right now I don't play much at all because I hate having to drop out in the middle of a round.
Borderlands 2: older game, but can't get enough of it.
Borderlands: The pre-Sequel: got it in the steam winter sale, its a pale shadow of BL2, still enjoyable, but I doubt I'll go for a second playthrough.
Shovel Knight: I just love retro platformers.
Legend of dungeon: a great indie game when you have a few minutes to waste. Its a roguelike beat-em up with a great mix of 3d graphics/effects and retro hand drawn sprites.
Shadowrun series: I'm playing trough Dragonfall right now. Great simple games with a great atmosphere.

On Linux, I have just finished Starbound, with some 48 hours behind it. Fun game, I just wish it had more story in it.
I have also finished Shovel Knight, probably the best of the (not) old retro platformers...
Right now I am playing Dragon Age: Origins in Wine, really fun game, highly recommended, performance somewhat okay. I'm also playing Batman: Arkham Knight on the XB1 (yeah, I got it really cheap before my Linux conversion, don't have the money now to make the switch to PS4). This Batman really surprised me in a bad way. I thought I would like it, but now I am considering not playing to the end. It just seems more of the same to me.
The title music of this game is really remarkable. The games are currently waiting for their turn in my Steam library, but I recall the music just from seeing my brother firing up the game on his laptop.
