Alien Isolation is a fantastic game, so I urge you all to try it. Humble Store has a seriously good deal going on the collection right now.

It's 75% off for the entire thing, so go grab it.

It's the kind of game that makes me uncontrollably sweat, my heart rate goes up and it's a terrifying experience for me. I love it though! Visually it's impressive, the atmosphere is fantastic and now it's stupidly cheap.

Did you finish it, or did you duck out from fear?

If I didn't already have it in my collection I would, but I paid £20 for it last year.

ps. I haven't gotten past the first encounter with a Xenomorph yet, it made me jump out of my skin & I haven't played it since. :D

This is what I got last time I tried it on r600 (using family sharing from a friend's account -- HD6870, epileptics beware of the spoiler):

Spoiler, click me

(I tried webp as well, the images aren't as big as apng, but neither Firefox nor imgur seem to support it).

I will give it another go, and will probably buy it if it works.
Just one question: does this count as a Linux sale? Do the porter receive money for it? I seem to recall that yes, this is the case, but I am not sure.

QuoteYou can grab Alien Isolation the full collection from Humble Store super cheap right now.

QuoteEvery time I see “will only get it on sale” or the instant “will it be released with a sale?!” posts I really do fear for our platform as gaming choice. Why is a Linux port worth so much less to you? It damn well shouldn’t be. We are gaming on a platform that has to prove itself to survive in what’s quite a hostile environment full of publishers with dollar signs for eyes. If we consistently pay less, create storms about small issues like this, then again, I fear for our future.

Questions are: Will it count for Linux if I buy it from Humble? Will Feral get the money?

@Arehandoro seems you don't even understand what you're quoting. I was talking about people always asking if a game will be released with a sale and/or people saying they will only buy it on sale.

Edit: This is again a case of people clearly not understanding that article it was quoted from :)

I am stuck somewhere around the doctors offices if I remember correctly... Meeh... I whish they had a setting "I am too old to pee in my bed". But actually jumpscares are more like a stress thing. I don't like it. Kinda why I really don't like doom3 even though it is a magnificent piece of eye candy and has some kind of story.

Wow that is some bug, combine it with Pink Floyd & some acid & you'd be well away with the fairies. :D

They mostly come out at night, mostly.

Though I'm repeating myself :)
This is the best Alien game available on Linux.
I still haven't played through the DLCs yet, but I finished the main campaign and enjoyed it very very much.
I hope there'll be a sequel as the ending suggests one.
This game is also a perfect candidate for streaming :D
Let yourself get sucked into the dense atmosphere and you'll have one of the best gaming experiences out there.
