The developer of the open source Playstation 3 emulator 'RPCS3' [GitHub, Official Site] has improved Linux support recently.
Speaking on Patreon, they said:
On top of better Linux support, the developer noted they have been working on improved support for PS3 dynamic link libraries and a new loading mode that helps more games to work.
The emulator is still in the early stages, but it's good to see one being made in the open. I fully believe emulators are important, especially when the original units stop being sold.
I compiled it from the GitHub and here's the interface as of right now:
I don't have any PS3 roms to test it myself, but it at least compiles to give you the UI.
