Note: Article updated to be clearer that this is about the engine, not specifically their new benchmark tool.
It seems UNIGINE have Vulkan firmly in their sights to support it this year, which means their recently released Superposition benchmark could gain support for it too.

While that doesn't specifically state the benchmark itself will gain Vulkan support, it does mean the UNIGINE engine will. It would be odd if they didn't update their big new benchmarking toy to have Vulkan support too.
I tested out their new benchmarking tool and it's a very heavy benchmark, after trying it my system absolutely crawled. It will be very interesting to see how OpenGL stacks up against Vulkan if they do implement it.
This will likely be a benchmark we can keep coming back to when testing new cards, especially considering you can get a free version direct from the website.
Also, there seems to be a scoreboard going on in the forum, go try it out for a bit of fun.

Sure I remember reading it on phoronix or somewhere last year
I tried "Heaven" on windows two years ago, I didn't know there was a Linux version.

Going on the results I've seen it makes little difference on CPU.
If you look at the bench thread you have a 980ti with a AMD8320e beating the same card with a intel 5960, Rather a large difference don't you think.
Pretty sure a 5960 in vastly superior to a 8320e :P

There's a pretty big range in the 970's though.
Then again, I have a feeling that the benchmark is not entirely reliable. I started again today, got a 20% lower score. Repeated it a few times and got about the same. Then restarted the benchmark again and got the 20% higher value back.
