Rocket League too hard for you? UniBall might be what you're after. It has very simple movement controls so it's quick to learn.
Sadly, not many people play it so I was only able to test it works properly on a few offline maps, but I love the idea of it. It seems the Linux release went unnoticed by most too, so maybe with me highlighting it we could get some games going!
About the game (Official)
One of the longest running independent games on the Internet, UniBall has evolved from a simple version of space hockey into an online multiplayer e-sport that is uniquely its own.
The basics remain simple and easy to learn: you maneuver, you pass and you shoot in order to score goals.
But beyond this simple design lies a surprisingly complex game involving teamwork and individual skill that can take a lifetime to master.

First of all, the first time i played UniBall was 2003. They released the first version 1999. I wouldn't say that UB is "easier" than Rocket League. I would even go so far and would say that it is harder (depends on the Map/Game Mode).
UB is a game that definitely deserves more Players and I would be glad to play with everyone how is willing to give this game a shot. Just add me on Steam and I will learn you as much as I know.
